mimi5
So my lovely Monty baby "Golden Penny" who had eyeliner as a chick was put down tonight She would have been 3 in march and I had planned to hatch from her this year This has made me feel wobbly about hatching too The others all seem fine. 2 eggs today from Martha and Polly. Max doodling and doing what boys do best We had been battling sour crop for over 10 days and she was just no better, in fact she looked like she'd had enough. I had treated her with prescribed meds from the vet and loads of TLC she had been in our kitchen most over the time, going out with the others for parts of sunny days. RIP my sweet Penny

Beantree
I'm sorry to hear this about Penny, especially as you fought hard for her Mimi5. You took a hard decision with her best interests put first and that takes real courage. We have struggled in that respect many times. Sour crop is not contagious and will not be transferred to eggs, so you have no reason be be put off from hatching.
