Cinnamon
I will listen to almost anything, except Country, Gospel, Screamo, House, Opera or Rap. No country? How about Dolly Parton, doesn't everyone sing along a Dolly? Not me!
dancing cloud
Rock, every time. Apparently you can tell what mood I'm in by what rock it is - Boston is a very good day , Bon Jovi's not too bad , G'n' R you may want to think before asking me silly questions . If it's Megadeth or Metallica, just hide quietly under the bed until I've gone away . Usually if I can sing along to it in the car, you're relatively safe. Princess Leia
Stuff that no-one else has ever heard of usually, Sigur Ros, Boards of Canada, Hammock, God is an Astronaut, Rogue Valley, M83, Explosions in the Sky, 65 Days of Static, Tycho, Stellardrome... bluekarin
I have a 60 days.. We were exploding Anyway album. I first discovered them via a you tube link of some freerunners from someone on here, funnily enough! Such a good lp, and one I tend to listen to when doing a big house clean, when home alone so I can have it up LOUD!
Valkyrie
Pretty much everything here. I love rock of all sorts, heavy metal (even Deathstar), love country and Don Williams is my favourite there. Reggae, big band like Glen Miller, barber shop, a capella, classical (Tchaikovsky I adore). I have some operas but I would like to have some Gilbert and Sullivan because it's fun. I like ethnic music too. Not so keen on rapping but Will Smith is fine in more ways than one! Modern music is good too and the old fashioned ones like Sam Cooke. Obviously some are more easy on my ear. Anything that gets my foot tapping and the need to dance around the ironing board is great!!! Olly
I love Tallis (I had the wonderful experience of singing 'Spem in Alium' last year) but I wouldn't get any cleaning done listening to that - I thinking I need something to keep me moving. AndyRoo
Now Andyroo that is the definition of eclectic At last count my partner and I had something like 6,000 CDs between us - so it's fair to say we have quite a range of musical taste... my list could go on and on and on. Although several people have pointed out that I do seem to have a 'thing' for Canadian female singer-songwriters... which had actually never occurred to me until someone said. Maybe it's coz I like Maple Syrup or something. lol
soapdragon
Canadian female singers Loreena McKennit? Love, love love her music!
AndyRoo
Canadian female singers Loreena McKennit? Love, love love her music! I don't really know a lot of her music. I seem to remember the few songs I have heard reminded me a little bit of Enya.
soapdragon
Yes, a bit Enya ish but more diverse...lovely voice and some great music from her take on British trad folky to Russian then through middle eastern via native American! Well worth a listen if you have eclectic tastes
Luvachicken
Can I admit to seeing Showaddywaddy on Friday night They were absolutely fabulous and had me jigging in my seat all night long - we were in the front of the upper circle so no room for dancing although lots of people in the stalls were dancing. I loved it and being there reminded me how much I loved my childhood pop group. Best nights entertainment I've had in ages Do like most music though
Valkyrie
I pinched my dad's Showaddywaddy LP. All mine now. Although he did have my Perry Como. AndyRoo - wot no Abba!!!! If you like Canadian try Susan Aglukark - Inuit! Rather country but interesting!
