patsylabrador
Do you have a place that makes you feel good? By that I mean a place where you can draw breath, dream a bit and just relax? This is mine, the cocoon in the Natural History Museum. I love going there and you'll often find me strolling round it. It's all about exploration and discovery and adventure. A few holidays have been planned in there including a budding idea for my 60th next year.

GrannyTrish
Apart from my bed, I love being by the sea and listening to the waves.
Luvachicken
I love my swing seat in the garden (when the weather is better) Birds singing, blue sky and a gentle rock is all I need
chickencam
Sitting on a beach or cliff top for me or woodland. It might sound morbid but I also find church yards very life affirming. Sounds bizarre but they are usually very peaceful and make me thankful for what I have. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in our local one which also has far reaching countryside views during my treatment. It is somewhere that I can walk to and sit on a bench for quiet reflection when I’m in my low immunity phase and have to keep away from people. I’m a bit of a loner though so that probably explains a lot!
Valkyrie
The sea always relaxes me. The sound of the waves rough or lapping I don't mind. Floating on the water, swimming, anything like that. When I'm not near the sea I love soaking in the bath with my head under the water and my nose out. I love the sound of the rain and the wind at night (unless it's making the pergola creak too much) and a little breeze wafting through the window across my face is lovely - I go to sleep very quickly. Scented flowers like honeysuckle and jasmine - roses (although I don't like rose perfume), lavender, lilacs - all wonderful. Watching the birds also, and the butterflies - and the bees are such time wasters because I can watch them for hours. Ahhhhhh bliss. What a nice thing to chat about. soapdragon
The sea for me every time! My very, very favourite thing to do ever is beach combing; I just can't think about anything else when I am nose down on the sand looking for treasures (of whatever kind!) The sounds and smells of the sea are just intoxicating. It is my absolute dream to live within walking distance of a beach. I completely HAVE to go to the seaside every few months...it's like a magnetic pull! OH says I have seawater, not blood, in my veins!
