BeckyBoo
Wow, well done Cathy, the feeling when you cross the finish line must be absolutely exhilarating! I hope you raised lots of money. Well, done, time to put your feet up and feel very very pleased with yourself! Mrs Bertie
Ain't Nobody Here
I was watching the race this morning while doing the ironing and caught a glimpse of what looked like a chicken suit (although I only saw its feet!) - there's an idea for you for next year! Well done, anyway, I've run half marathons (slowly) and know the pain (and sense of achievement) at the end!

Guest
WAY TO GO CATHY! I was on the treadmill watching it, explaining to my gym buddy that she should give up trying to have a run on there until she loses some weight. It's not the puffing and blowing but when you are several stone overweight everything flaps about and is VERY uncomfortable. We were very envious of all of you on the telly doing the Great North Run. Then we worked out how much weight we will have lost by next July and agreed to sign up for the Race for Life with a target time of 45 mins (my last walk round was 1 hour 2 mins). The Dogmother
Great news Cathy Well done that girl! Shall we all do the race for life together next year then? Rosie and I raised £400 this year. Because I now do it with Rosie, I haven't run the whole course for 3 years, but my best time was 27 minutes. The race local to us is in a beautiful setting and we always end up with a picnic.
