Healthy Options - Support Group

Recommended Posts

Just had another look at your blog Thalia, and you are doing so very well - congratulate yourself!

Try massaging the loose skin morning and evening, either in the bath/shower or with body lotion, it will go back into shape; my tummy was like that after I had Rosie' I massaged it and the feeling and firmness came back.

Feeling better in yourself is a large part of doing well on your diet - I'm glad to hear that you are getting your old zest back too. :D

Hugs and support from us all

Thanks Claret.

I got some reassurance from one of the personal trainers at my gym and she said you could tell the skin was going shrink back in my case because when I pinch it, it springs (bit of an over-statement there but you get the idea) back.

I have swapped from doing all cardio to doing cardio and weights and I have my slendertone which is great for at home.

My pedometer is working well for me. I popped into Asda today (new bra 36B :D from a 42B) and parked in the furthest corner of the car park. I'm trying to up my activity in everyday life rather than relying on the gym which is easy not to go to.

This is why I love LL. Yeah you have the diet but all the therapy we have been doing is on how to improve your life and make you make yourself happy. I'd recommend the group work even if I didn't need the dieting aspect! :P

It's great that you get all that support Thalia, and that you are making lifestyle changes too. I understand that it takes 6 weeks to form a habit and make changes like that stick, so you're over the hardest part already.

I always try to walk every where that I can and clock up about 11-13,000 steps a day. Another tip is to get some relatively light ankle weights and wear those when you're indoors and also out and about - they make you work harder and you can really feel it in your legs. Once I have them on, I forget that they're there.

Can't everyone else see them though?

Hi Everyone :D

Sorry I haven't been on here much but life is good and the time has flown past.

I weighed in at 13st 8lbs on Tuesday having just drunk my usual 2 pints of water for a consistent result.

This means that I am now offically only overweight rather than obese! It also means that since I started LL on 20th May (51 days as of last Tuesday), I have lost more than my 3 year old daughter weighs :P

I have gone from a 22/24 to a size 16 and have my 2nd compulsory medical due next week.

Life is good although I am really looking forward to getting back to the eggs :P

Well done Thalia :D:D

You must be so pleased.

As Sheila said, you 'sound' very happy with yourself and so you should be.

Fantastic news
