The Dogmother
Has anyone found any decent cards with chooks on? All I can find are cute type ones - not me at all

The Dogmother
Can't you do the BHWT ones Clare, bloomin' good cause BBx I know, I love the cause, but the designs are 'so not me'...
feemcg
I had the BHWT hen house ones last year - I really liked them. What kind of design do you like Clare?
feemcg
Oh...just checked and they don't have them this year - it was the ones with the henhouse and all the little stockings pinned up outside.
The Dogmother
I was thinking of something photographic - I've just been surfing for some, but can't find what I like, except by buying from the States. I can find plenty of 'chickens in the snow' photos, so might end up making my own - which is no small task when I need 40! failing that, I might get some from Oxfam and stuff the chicken idea. Nothing cutesy-pie mind Fee!
The Dogmother
Hmmm, this might be the one... on the right. What do you reckon? I don't do religion (well not conventional ones anyway) and want to give to a charity if possible. I always do Send a Cow presents for my sisters children as they have far too many toys anyway, so it's a logical step.
Guest
Found these on eBay. I shouldn't think they're what you're looking for and they're in America too, but . . . you decide! http://cgi.ebay.com/Christmas-Chickens-card-handmade-by-Alice_W0QQitemZ220162428086QQihZ012QQcategoryZ108865QQcmdZViewItem
The Dogmother
I saw that thanks Ginette - too cute for me though... sorry.
The Dogmother
I might have to ditch the Chicken theme and just get a charity card - the send a cow one is good and so is one from Oxfam... Hmmmm
Tessa the Duchess
I have also searched for chicken christmas cards, I don't do cutesy or religous cards either. No luck, so I bought some from the Marie Curie cancer shop, they are 'Seasons Greetings' and the pictures are photographs of brussel sprouts made into little christmas trees quite a 'green' theme I thought Tessa
The Dogmother
I'll have a look for those Tessa, thanks
buffie
I just send BHWT cards and that's that. I'd be strung up by the chooks if I didn't. BBx
Egluntyne
Have just taken delivery of my cards...in support of St Lukes Hospice, Sheffield, a charity very dear to my heart as my Dad died there. Lovely cards every year, to suit all pockets. Many designed by local artists who give their services free of charge.
bronze
Have you had a look on etsy or ask Phil to design you one
The Dogmother
or ask Phil to design you one Just let me pick myself up off ther floor! He doesn't even design cards for himself - the lazy beggar just sends about 5 cards a year to his nearest and dearest!
DizzyLizzie
Try these... http://www.phoenix-trading.co.uk/web/corp/products/catalog.do?offset=1&catalogId=phx_animals_long Not christmassy, but chickenny - might be expensive for 40 as they would be 90p each + p&p or these... http://www.phoenix-trading.co.uk/web/corp/products/catalog.do?catalogId=phx_xmas_photocard and add your own photos - again, could be pricey as they are sold individually at about £1 each. OR - these are free... http://www.stpetershospice.org.uk/content/view/35/68/
Guest
We had a speaker from "Send a cow" at our Harvest celebrations two weeks ago. I can fully endorse what an absolutely excellent charity it is.

Snowy
Clare, I have a friend who does fab cards that I think you would like. There aren't any on his web site though so I think he may not be doing any this year (he and his wife have a new born). I'll make further enquiries though.
