Ain't Nobody Here
I'm going to see tomorrow night. Keith Jack (runner up on Any Dream Will Do) is the narrator - he is my step instructor's nephew so she has persuaded most of the class to go to the show . We get a blow by blow account of his career every week and he even came to our step class one week (not to participate though ).
Guest
Its a cracking show, can't say I was remotely interested in the telly programs so I don't know the guy you are talking about though. Havn't seen it for a few years I think it was Phil S when I did.
Guest
I'm sure that you'll have a FABULOUS time! I've been getting many reviews of Keiths performances from people who've been to see it all over the country, and no-one has a bad word to say about either Keith or Craig. I used to work with Keith in Tesco, so it's great to see him doing so well!
Snowy
I haven't been following the TV show either, but did go to see Joseph a few years ago with Philip Schofield - very good show, you'll enjoy it!

I wouldn't normally watch that kind of show either, but his auntie went on about it so much I had to . Quite enjoyed it in the end (but I used to record it and fast forward to Keith's bits). I was once in Boots and just about bumped into Craig, shopping with his mum, aww, bless .
Guest
Actually I kinda resent the shows a bit - they make the shows too popular and it harder to get tickets. I did watch the last few mins of every Joseph show though as the song the Josephs sang right at the very end is my favourite from the show. Also it recorded every time as I was recording Casualty after it!
Guest
but I used to record it and fast forward to Keith's bits)[/size]. . Reminds me of when I had to watch "Britains got no talent" to see the band (who got about 10 seconds of footage in the end). For three nights I fast forwarded through a ton of dross before enjoying the look of murder on my friends face as the band finished playing. I can't understand why they never showed the whole performance though, Simon Cowell buzzed them, then the second judge buzzed them and then simon leaned over and hit the third judges button. As instructed repeatedly by their bandmaster, who was conducting, the band continued playing. Buzzers went again and still the band played on, Simons minder even tugged on the trouser leg of the bandmaster to try and get him to stop the band but they finished their number and the bandmaster turned around with a face like thunder - he then had a row with Simon Cowell who wanted to know why the band lacked discipline and hadn't stopped on the buzzer - Simon was told "They have discipline - they do what I say NOT what you say" Simon ended up laughing but the bandmaster was FUMING. Of course he was fuming even more the next day when they were called back to await results and a band full of kids were left hanging around in a room for SEVEN HOURS before being told they didn't get through. Sheilaz
.......Paul Jones from Manfred mann was in it - really shows my age .... ...we went to see him in London a couple of weeks ago, small acoustic gig. Great evening and he's hardly aged at all (& I'll be showing my age; I remember he was in the film Privilege. Also saw him a couple of times in between with his Blues Band. I really like him. ) Also saw Joseph in Phil.S days. Glad to hear about Keith Jack, I followed his progress when Chookiehen said she knew him from work. Egluntyne
Eh? Explain! I'll have to go and search for the original thread, which was started by Revnev if I remember correctly.......it was about misheard lyrics and was very funny. I may be gone for some time! Ain't Nobody Here
Thanks Egluntine! Great, now I'm destined to spend hours reading through the lyrics thread Re Round Robins, don't get me started . I was planning to do one for my OH (obviously tongue in cheek - he kinda knows how brilliant our kids/chickens/lives are already ). Might try and do it now! Goosey Lucy
Ain't "Ooops, word censored!"ody here wrote: "Blinded by the light, ripped up like a doosher in the roller of the night" Does anyone know the real words? I've been singing those ones for years (when I actually sing that song which isn't often ). The chorus of the song features the commonly misunderstood lyric, "Blinded by the light, cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night." ("Deuce" refers to a '32 Ford Deuce Coupe.) Many listeners hear the word "douche" in place of "deuce." [1] Manfred Mann's Earth Band changed this line slightly to "revved up like a deuce" (often misquoted as "wrapped up like a douche") and repeated it much more frequently in their version than Springsteen did in the original; they also omitted parts of the verses and rearranged the order of the remaining lyrics. Ain't Nobody Here
This is a bit unrelated but I liked it. On Five Live this morning, they were talking about famous people's real names: Eric Clapton - Eric Clap Axl Rose - William Bailey (d'you think Bill Bailey wouldn't let him use it ) Big Daddy - Shirley Crabtree (that's a well known one) Alvin Stardust - Bernard (surname not revealed yet!) I'm sure there's more but I'm off to my step class .

I used to work with Keith in Tesco, so it's great to see him doing so well! Ooh! Ooh! One of my bestest friends is the MD on the touring Joseph! Keith is brilliant apparently. Craig is good when he sets his mind to it, but he's not as good as Keith IMHO.
Ain't Nobody Here
Eric Clapton - Eric Clap Errr, it's Eric Patrick Clapton... not that I'm a fan you understand I must admit I was surprised when they said that - maybe they were joking and it was too early in the morning for me to realise . I also am not a fan . Should've checked my facts but was in a rush . Re Joseph, I will report back tomorrow! My step teacher (his auntie) went to see him on the opening night and said it was great (she's a bit biased though). She said Keith's mum had to text him upstairs in his bedroom to tell him to quieten down in the wee small hours. Had some trouble coming down off his cloud apparently .
