Spring cleaning

Recommended Posts

Snowy!! How very dare you!! I was going to say a cloud!! How about a puff?" Anyway, haven't steamed anything, but got rid of 8 yes, EIGHT bin bags of childrens clothes and toys to the local charity sho, flogged £25 of stuff through the small ads at work, and got rid of 4 things through freecycle. Our or rather my new years resolution is to be more green, clear out more stuff and sort my finances! Nothing is coming in to my house unless something else goes out!!

Can you post the link again please........ and is it still in the Sale?

~ here you go ~

:( Now they appear to be out of stock. Can't think how they sold out!

I nearly had an urge to join in the spring cleaning there, luckily it's passed now.

I'll wait until Spring. (2020)

But those steamers look fun! Do continue to report back with verdicts on them.

I have been doing nothing but cleaning for the last few days as I've been at home and Joe has been back at work and we gave the cleaner two weeks off

Still, most of downstairs looks lovely and just the tree to take down over the weekend and then I'll shampoo all of the carpet downstairs.

I have a steam cleaner already (quite good, bought off speedauction.tv for £8!!) and it's really good. It does work wonders on the kitchen tile grout :D

Just the windows to do and it's far too cold to be outside on a ladder so I've put that off for now

We've got a Polti steam cleaner, used once. Some people love them, but we didn't think much off it. Had it a while now.

Today, we have taken down the Christmas decs & we are having a sort out of all our junk, so as we can buy more Antique furniture & actually have place to put it instead of all the totally useless stuff we have.

Taken loads to the Recycling centre, sorted some stuff out to sell & some for putting on the Omlet Freecycle. I should feel happy & de stressed, but I feel all nerved up! I hate sort outs, I find them boring!

Ooh, I love a clear out! I was a hoarder (well, still am actually  ) so have plenty to go at. Having tidied my front room out just before Christmas and actually having a usable room instead of an indoor skip with wallpaper and a light fitting  it is really liberating! The binmen call tomorrow and I have a huge cardboard box full of paper for them to recycle, a few items for eBay and maybe something for freecycle too!

I keep decluttering rather than cleaning, but I hate it :( . I'm an untidy, disorganised hoarder by instinct and decluttering goes quite against the grain.

I am very clean though, I really dislike dirt and dust so do keep things spotless (well, except for windows, I clean them and 5 mins later they're grimy again............how does that happen  ), but tidiness is not a strength of mine.

Spring cleaning..............I've yet to get the urge for that one, is it contagious :?:lol::lol: [/b]
