Christian
Just wondered if you are going, could you pick up a couple of plastic shower curtains for me? I have recently slabbed the runs and wanted to keep the aubiose drier. The Omlet shades are fine, but very dark for the girls! I am really skint and have no will power (plus it miles form me) I would of course pay P&P and trouble money! Thanks! C x

Joojoo
Hi Christian It might be worth checking their website. They deliver to certain areas - sadly not mine, but it could save you a lot of hassle

Cate in NZ
Christian, I see that it looks as if Snowy may be able to help you . If for any reason she has problems, give me a shout. I've no particular plans to go to Ikea this week (a dangerous place in hubby's opinion ) but I'm quite close to the Thurrock store and never need too much persuading to pay it a visit I wouldn't be able to get there until the end of the week though. ubereglu
That reminds me, I need to e-mail my sister so next time she goes to Ikea she can get me some of the small wooden drawers, (They were featured in Gardener's World Mag-January) and I want a set to store my seeds in! Tina C
I have been 'cleaning out' in the rain today and decided I really need some new run covers too Christian. And I need to do it before I have my hen party as the omlet shades/winter covers/shower curtain combos I have are all a mess. Its a toss up between going to IKEA or ordering new covers from omlet - I have only just discovered they do 'extension' covers now as well - daren't visit the shop too often IKEA shower curtains would be cheaper but I could end up spending more money - hmmm what to do! Will try and remember to post on here if I do end up going to IKEA - I don't mind picking up a few bits and pieces for people.
little chickadee
It's actually cheaper to get them from ebay, because you don't end up spending £100 on other stuff you don't need - Ikea is lethal (I love it, but will not go at the moment!) Popcorn
I'd like to get a clear shower curtain for my chooks too. the Omlet ones are so dark, I wouldn't be surprised if they were suffering from SAD. How are you guys fastening them to the run mesh to keep them in place?
The Dogmother
Last summer was so wet, that my chooks had the shower curtain over the run all year!
Tessa the Duchess
How are you guys fastening them to the run mesh to keep them in place? Clothes pegs Tessa
Tina C
Yep - clothes pegs AND those stretchy bungee things with hooks on the end (do they have a name?) - hook two together and hook onto bars of run.
The Dogmother
I think everyone uses bungee hooks Gina.
hillfamily
Gina - when I swapped from Omlet run covers to shower curatains, I used the bungees that were on my omlet run covers
little chickadee
I use wonderful eyelets from these people http://www.langardirect.com/Product/Eyelets.htm and lace it onto the cube run
Snowy
I just poked holes in the plastic and tied it on with string!
Egluntyne
Yep....bungee hooks for me. I found that the eyelets tore out.
Ain't Nobody Here
I've bought a whole lot of bungee ropes from ~ these people ~ They are fairly cheap, are delivered very speedily and even match the run (they're green) . The large size fits the run best. (Yesterday I bought a length of corrugated plastic from B&Q for £4.97 - I'd like to see the wind rip that .) The Dogmother
My bungee hooks are from Millets and used for ground sheets. They tap in easily with a hammer and pierce the plastic for you.
Popcorn
Gina - when I swapped from Omlet run covers to shower curatains, I used the bungees that were on my omlet run covers Thanks Pam - a very good idea
Goosey Lucy
I bought a pack of bungee cords from B&Q yesterday, YS (aged 4) found them and strung them across the kitchen while I was upstairs cleaning the bathroom. My kitchen looked like something from The Krypton Factor but YS was happy.
