Krysia
Kay has just mailed me to say that they are about to start the bantom skelters and also wondered if people would like other colours? What do you think?
Ain't Nobody Here
I quite like the silver (not that I've got mine in the flesh yet ). Kay emailed me too - to say that the Ebay seller is someone "nice" in fact, here's what she said: Thats OK, the person selling them is a nice person, and has been pretty helpful with info etc to us, he took 6 and has asked for another 12!! Good on him, we're all trying to make a living! thought the photo was pants, but the write up is good!!
Snowy
Now a duck egg blue (or should that be a hens egg blue!) would go down very well with me!
The Dogmother
Snowy, Egluntine mentioned that she'd seen them on ebay, but I couldn't find them - any links? Sorry, I've been a bit distracted today and haven't really had time to look properly.

AJuff
In the stampede i bought an egg skelter and . . . . I'm not sure I like it! I think I prefer my hen house wooden egg holder. Not sure whether to give it to a friend as a gift now or sell it on.
cruisa
I've just ordered one as well I've just kept my supermarket eggs in the fridge so far. Looking forward to some nice fresh eggs of my own though. ~cruisa~
Snowy
Mine arrived today. It's cool! I like to have all my eggs in order and it does look pretty. Took a couple of tries to get the eggs sitting in the right position, but once you've done that, they roll fairly well over short distances. Trouble is, the boys want to put the eggs at the top and let them roll all the way down! Might have to hard boil a couple and let them play - get it out of their system! Egluntyne
Here's mine. I really like it! Only 23 on it as some of my girls lay ostrich eggs. Little Nugget's eggs are like bantam eggs in comparison!.
Krysia
I haven't managed to fill mine yet, Despite 16 girls we are currently averaging 3 eggs a day with the occasional 5. It does look ace filled up!

freddie
Now that's apretty picture!! I'm glad it's not just my girls that lay all colours all sizes and all shapes! Most around us have pretty shiny eggs that come out all the same size! Mind you, they also dont have the fun of one of theirs trying to be a house chicken
The Dogmother
Oh, I want one.... any news on that bantam version Freddie?
Ain't Nobody Here
Picked up my skelter this morning . It looks great - although a bit empty with only 2 eggs in it . I'm starting to think I should've gone for the 12 egg one (I only have 3 hens, so was perhaps being a bit optimistic ). If there's anyone that regrets getting a 12 and wants a 24, maybe we could do a swop .
smudgley
These are fantastic & I can't believe I've missed this thread until now. So 2 questions. Shall I get a 24 egg or a 12 egg? Which looks nicer? Is it better/cheaper to get them direct or via e-bay? Got to get one...they're fantastic!
Snowy
This is mine - full to the brim! Only 23 on it though - like Egluntine, a couple of ostrich eggs in there
Egluntyne
Is it better/cheaper to get them direct or via e-bay? I paid £18.99 inc P&P from Ebay for a 24 egg one.
