Valentines Day

Recommended Posts

I haven't even got a card  but that's because OH has chicken pox and normally does his shopping for anything the day before the event, now he looks like a cross between a pizza and a leper so he can't go out!

I sent him a card though, I wrote,

"My darling husband you drive me dotty,

I love you even though you're spotty"

He saw the funny side luckily! We were going out at the weekend with all the kids away at grannys but he won't be well enough so we'll rain check it til he's properly better

I sent my OH a large helium balloon to work - i have done this every year for the passed 3 years.

He works in an open plan office and i just do it to embarass him really!:lol:

This year i sent a huge love monster with a flashing heart - when the box was delivered virtually the whole office crowded round to see what this years balloon was - he flushed - a lot!:lol::lol::lol:

we got engaged on valentines day 12 years ago, on a skying holiday in Andora (no I still cant ski) I was there with OH & a group of lads, very cheap hotel & bubbly drunk out of mugs - no glasses anywhere - it was great. This year OH is away until Saturday night & I will be in plaster by then, so this year I just want lots of hugs & TLC

Knock on the front door at 4.30 I was in the middle of cooking tea and looked a right mess.......

huge bouquet of beautiful red roses with ribbons and bows stuffed in my face by the delivery man!

Very shocked and suprised :D:D

Feel very humble now as only an hour before I was moaning and nagging hubby, he's won lots of brownie points now!

We also sponsor Saffron - a hearing dog for the deaf. 8)

We had Lucille the lurcher but she died  so we have Shane now who looks a bit like a little staffie cross type of dog! :D

I went to Crufts a couple of years ago and went to the Dogs Trust stand and proudly said i sponsored Spike - the ladies face dropped and then told me he had died only the week before - i cried on the spot!:cry:

She felt so sorry for me she gave me a mug and a teddy!

Oh my! poor you, good on them for giving you the goodies to cheer you up :D

I like the dogs trust - they seem to care more for doggies than the RSPCA

I agree but I stopped sponsoring a dog as I felt that too much money was wasted on sending Valentines cards, Christmas Cards, Birthday Cards etc.

Now I just send cash donations every now & then. :D
