crazygal
well we have both decided not to buy each other Valentine cards this year (That'll be about £5 saved)- and we'll probably buy a bottle of cava with that money.. never really done much for Valentines apart from the first few years we were together, and I remember the first Valentine's Day after we were married I'd got OH a card and he got me ..... NOTHING I was a bit miffed to say the least but he is a bit anti-commercialism so I let him off
Egluntyne
It was our 19th wedding anniversary on Monday, we both forgot We've done that several times. Congratulations belatedly anyway.
Clur
I was orginally meant to be away with work, but now I'll be at home we've decided to just have a nice quiet meal in and maybe watch a DVD. This is a huge treat for us as work usually rules things out Mon-Fri!
clucky1
Love the campervan idea it sounds GREAT. Although it is very commercialised I still love it. having two young children we do tend to stay in. This year we are having a variety of chinese meals from waitrose and a good bottle of red. Have got hubby some boy and girls biscuits. The boys have spotted pants and the girls have spotted knickers and bras !
chelsea
hubby has offered to take me to the beach with the dog and fish and chips. Im on a diet so cant have the fish and chips but find nothing more romantic than going for a nice walk by the sea.
Milly
I saw a card which I HAD to buy - two fried eggs done in heart shape moulds (you have to see it to appreciate it). And we got married on 29 February many years ago - there is no excuse for forgetting an aniversary when it only comes round every 4 years! Although, having said that, OH is much better at buying cards etc than I am. Milly
chocchick
We go for a meal on a different night as it can be miserable a) finding a restaurant and b) getting good service as it is so packed! OH doesn't do cards and once spelt my name wrong on a card. He got me a chicken book and a dustbuster for my birthday....but he also got me 2 riding lessons so I guess that was the main present. Maybe it was the laughing at the dustbuster (that I did say I wanted) that prompted it I did tell him 2 months back we'd be sitting in watching Bones (back after about 2 month break) and he laughed.....but we are not going out on Thursday now
Lesley
I'll be celebrating!!!!! It will be 20 years since I threw my (then) husband out Ever since then I've refused to have anything to do with Valentines Day - Carl wouldn't know what day it was anyway
Krysia
We will give each other a card in the morning and then Paul is off to london for an afternoon meeting, he won;t be back till late, so I think I will just do a casserole in the slow cooker for whatever time he gets back. I did get a dozen Roses yesterday though as he had been shopping!
Guest
I've never had a romantic valentines day and I'm a Pisces so a proper romantic at heart. I'm going to the hairdressers tomorrow so I'llhave to endure endless questions of "are you doing anything special tonight?" Probably from the hairdresser, the receptionist, the shampoo boy (who dates on of my ex pupils) and the beautician! Just once I'd like a bit of romance, I think I'm starting to get to the point when I'm ready to start dating again.

Shirl
The OH has the day off but only so he can take DD1 to the theatre. We were then supposed to be going out for lunch for 4 but as both DDs have been unwell since the weekend that may not happen. I've bought him a card but we don't have an anniversary to celebrate even though we've been together for 15 years this year. He piscean and the most unromantic person going. Yorkshire Pudding
We agreed to ignore Valentine's day a few years ago. Our wedding anniversary is the 20th and that is much more personal to us. OH makes a point of rarely buying cut flowers - asks why you would want a vase full of plant sexual organs . Romantic, eh? But on the handful of occasions he has bought them in the last 20 years, I've really appreciated them!
craftyhunnypie
I gave hubby a card at midnight & I had some Thorntons chocs spelling I love you on my pillow when I came back from the loo at just gone midnight. Romantic eh? But I had my Valentines & Wedding anniversary prezzie early (last week), with going away. He bought me a celtic necklace & earring set from my favourite jewellers in Sandbach. Little love! Emma.x
Aunty e
OH on tour. I don't really like making a fuss on Valentine's Day, but he has a thing about it, don't know why, and insists. I'm quite glad he's in cheltenham today as it happens. I do like buying presents though So I'm getting him the toaster with the egg cooker for the green room at theatres. When we've got a bit more money next week. Last year I got a cat for valentines day, and for my birthday and for our anniversary. And he wonders how we ended up with five.
