The Dogmother
They are Italian livestock guard dogs. The adults are enormous with very thick fur, the babies are so cute, like little fat guinea pigs. Here's some info

Lesley
I've decided Jazz is a proper dog - despite the letters after her name I haven't got any decent photos of her though - she's just so black....... This was when she'd outgrown her puppy bed
AnnieP
I cannot resist this thread... Here are my darling previous dogs: Honey, a Collie, Golden Lab cross, given to me at the age of 12 by my PE teacher (! ). She was a wonderful dog and lived with me for 18 years. To lose her when I was 30, having gone with me through my formative years was just incredibly sad. Woody, my dream dog, a rescued EBT with attitude, who only managed to stay with us for 6 months. Rags, who passed away this year, at the beginning of Feb, A bearded collie crossed with who knows what, rescued by us 12 years ago. Jonnie (OH picked her out). A complete star. So, now we are left with just Molly, a pedigree Airedale Terrier, whose mother was owned by a child in my class. He persuaded me to come and "have a look at my puppies" and that was it....and I swore I would never buy a puppy.... She sure does have attitude and style though... 8 years old and still a nutter. We are going to be getting another rescue dog in the summer, hopefully. You cannot beat them.

chelsea
Gorgeous dogs Annie . They are more than just pets arent they. I wouldnt be without a dog and our 1st dog was a rescue one, we only had her 5 years but she had a happy life.
The Dogmother
Here's Jezebel (Belle) my old lurcher, taken when Rosie was tiny and still into pink sparkly stuff, hence the outfit. You can see how good she was... She used to lie spatchcocked like that!
gooner.girl
This is Milo - he's a sprollie (Springer x collie) He's 12 years old. We got him when he was 8 from some friends of my aunt and uncles who were moving abroad. He's a gorgeous dog - a bit neurotic at times (he still refuses to go in my parents dining room after the crackers made a big scary bang christmas time 2 years ago! ) but i wouldn't be without him! Posing... Lazing with me in the sun... In the daffs last easter... Milo and me playing 'tug' on the village common

lisa33
They still have some of the males for sale, not sure of the price, but I can put you in touch if you're interested. They need lots of exercise and eat tons though! I love one, but we have already decided that we won't get another dog while we have Jasdog. To be honest until I have passed my course and started working part time I probably won't get another dog. Milo & Belle look gorgeous too. AnnieP
Clare, Belle DOES look like my old Honey! What a sweetie! Milo is a real poser isn't he? Dogs are FAB!
gooner.girl
Milo has a bit of a persecution complex today as my friends one year old came over and kept pointing at him shouting 'cat!'
The Dogmother
Jezebel was very placid, especially as she got older - Rosie used to grab onto her fur, heave herself upright and toddle along holding onto Belle's coat. She was a real lurcher - true and loyal to her pack, but a real hunter and chaser - could catch most rabbits! She had a lot of collie in her and used to round up children, chooks, ducks... anything really. Very obedient and good, better to heel off the lead than on though - lurchers don't 'do' leads

gooner.girl
Vet said he could pass for 7 Chelse! Suposedly this is cos a. he has good teeth (apparantly! ) and b. the fact that he hates the vets so much she saw him bursting with energy trying to head towards the door and get away! Imo
May I post a picture of my Springer? She's pedigree Her pedigree name is so ridiculous, even I'm embarrassed to say it! She's 11 now, partially blind, completely deaf and still utterly silly. And she certainly doesn't act like a pedigree lady when Jaffa Cakes are involved... I can't find my camera If anyone doesnt' know - Quita is a lab/ golden retriever cross Guide dog puppy we having living with us this year until she goes into training I'll see if I can find a picture of Holly looking aristocratic too from somewhere! Gamebird
Dogs are just dogs. They haven't a clue whether they are 'proper' or not it's only us humans who put tags on them. My boy is the most loving, gentle dog and he deserves a mention.
