theherd123
That kind of help is so much better than the 'run amock and tip everything over' variety! Consider yourselves being supervised Lesley!

Lesley
She always looks like she's smiling Paola ....and yes Em, she was much more 'helpful' before we tied her up - she obviously thought we'd put the soil in the wrong places..... and moved it and then when we tried to shoo her out she did the same as your two - a wall of death around the polytunnel It's out of bounds for her now that we've planted it up. theherd123
Lesley, i once spent the afternoon planting up some new pots with beautiful bulbs and flowers. Teddy sat next to me throughout, quite chilled out and at peace. I went to get the watering can and came back to find said pots and contents scattered all over the patio I then chased Ted round the garden tipping the watering can over him as i went but afterwards i felt so guilty i cried and gave him a big hug
AnnieP
I think I can possibly beat that. Did similar to Emma, with "Faithful" mutt at my side, went in to do lunch and luckily caught the little beast on my return trying to bury the trowel I had been using under her favourite bush. I had previously been "losing" various garden implements, so went to investigate and found a treasure trove! Such a helpful creature...... Seagazer
Hi, Thought I'd add a photo of my dear old girl Sally who died on 30th December 2006 (I realise this was some time ago but I do miss her so). She was a Battersea girl, thought to have a bit of staff in her and from the way she ran a bit of greyhound! When we first saw her she was being pushed around by a collie. I felt sorry for her and we asked to meet her. We decided to have her, then found out that she shouldn't have been in the 'for rehoming' bit as she had only been in there 6 days. We had to go back and spent a very anxious night imagining her being claimed by her old owners or by somebody before we could go back. We went back first thing in the morning and Sally came home. We had her for 12 1/2 years, she was such a sweetie. Good with the kids, brilliant dog to have around the house. Shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to. Christmas day 2006 and she was quiet. She was sick in the afternoon but we thought that was due to hubby giving her the turkey skin. We had people over Boxing Day and in the evening she collapsed and we rushed her to the emergency vet. On the way my hubby thought she had actually died but she came round. They thought she had pancreatitis and gave her morphine, told us to take her home and take to our vets next day. Anyway to cut a long story short she stayed at the vets for four days and the vet said he thought she had a tumour in her pancreas. She was approximately 15 and it was decided that the best thing was to let her go. It broke my heart, I've had lots of pets but Sally was special. Anyway I can sometimes think about her without getting upset but thought it would be nice for you all to see her. The cat at the back of one of the photos is Molly. She died in the September before Sally. She was only 6 and it was such a shock.
Ain't Nobody Here
What lovely pictures! Lucky Sally, being rescued and having such a nice long happy life with you . She looks like she was a lovely dog . I can sympathise with the rescue home bit. We saw Riley but didn't want to jump in with both feet with the first dog we liked so took a night to think about it. We were paranoid that someone else would take him . Luckily, he was still there and we've had him seven years now! Best thing we ever did . Seagazer
ANH I think Riley looks a great dog from the photos. Poor thing in the snow he looks like he needs a hot water bottle! We were lucky with Sally and I think it was meant to be. Unfortunately it didn't work out with a rescue dog that we got after Sally. I feel bad that we had to take her back but for everybodies sanity and for Dave's health it was the only thing we could do.
Cooks
I have posted these elsewhere, but just becasue they deserve to be 'here' too.. Indroducing Jessie and Poppy
Cooks
and just because I love this picture.. Edited to add: sorry I didn't realise it wasn't allowed for purep breeds, they are I am afraid, but Jessie was a rescue/rehome and didn't matter to us what she was a mix of.. Neither of my girls act at all appropriately for a pure breed staus so I feel they should be allowed entry here Jessie has the most appalling manners and poppy just sleeps all day and doesn't care if you exist please say we can stay.. This is Jessie the first Christmas after she was with us, with her new coat... she wasn't impressed was she! [/i]

Cooks
she does look like him doesn't she! .. she's on my bed snoring at the moment what did I tell you about manners?? Thanks theherd123 she is my little love I have to say and she'll be 14 later this year so she's getting an old lady now. My husband bought her for me when I lost our first child that I was carrying so she's very dear to me. and have had her since she was 8 weeks old. I dont think I would have got through that without her endless cuddles. Jessie is adorable and loves everything and everyone it seems.. except that coat, which she didn't like and I have sitting somewhere unused
