Deb Dav
If there is no sport on anywhere we listen to the boys CD's - the usual NOW number whatever. Darkenss, Sons of Dork or I sneak in Jack Johnson (super CD) Otherwise it's Radio 5 Live. Didn't Top Gear do a poll on the best song to drive to I know Bat out of Hell didn't win

Played that to my 9-yr old daughter the other day - Kinks "best-of" double-CD - it took her a while to work out what was going on... you can't beat the kinks! (her fav. at the moment - dedicated follower of fashion - ) when he pulls his frilly nylon panties right up tighthe's a dedicated follower of fashion all the kinks songs have great lyrics - and it's great car-music Phil
Linda
I love the Kinks too!! Great lyrics. I also feel that it is my duty as a responsible parent to introduce my daughters to really good music from all decades. I don't hold with people saying of course they have never heard of a song or band because it is 'before their time.' My girls love all sorts of music around today, but they also think a lot of old stuff is great too. Just like me really!
Jacky
I Listen to Radio 2 or 4, but I usually have a cd in the player too and pop that on if Ken Bruce gets a bit annoying, at the moment the cd is Jack Johnson, but generally it could be Van The Man (Morrison) Bruce or Bob

Much better than (to the tune of 'Hey, Mona') "Hey, Shona, Oooooooooo, Shona, Tell you Shona what I'm going to do.... Wash this pot and give it to you..... chocchick
In our family car we listen to the latest CDs my Mum buys most of them. You have a cool Mum Now fight with OH over radio. OH: radio 4, folk (including our friends CDs ), Dr Who CDs, Chilli Peppers, Beautiful South CC: good DJs on radio 1, indie old and new, Bits of: Queen, Beatles, musicals, Norah Jones, jazz, some folk TV on radio sounds good to me, I often use my laptop and just listen along anyway. OH getting new dab/MP3/CD radio as other one been broken for months.
Popcorn
I must tell you that I have just come home from shopping in town& I was singing along to The Monkees (Daydream Believer ) & The Beach Boys (Help me Rhonda/Californian girls) Sarah, we love the Beach Boys. Definalty music to drive to. You should get hold of some Fountains Of Wayne - album called the same name, they are brilliantly uplifting and are a modern day Beach Boys. Your bum will be wriggling in your seat! (I'll gladly send you a copy throught the post)

Hellcat
we listen to Turnip fm (otherwise known as Orchard) locally and radio 2 when moving around the country. CD's: I absolutely love the Take That greatest hits album, and the daughter knows most of the words now! Also, Robbie (of course), Norah Jones when I'm feeling mellow, Keane or anything 'headbangy' - G 'n' R, Motorhead, etc. We have the compilation albums, like Drive Time etc. Love the Beach Boys. can't get Bjork at all. Cookie
The children both have walkmans in the car (should that be walkmen?? ) so OH and I get to pick the music in the front. Our CD changer is jammed at the moment sadly so we're stuck with the radio. I'll listen to Radio 2 (but not Ken Bruce), Magic FM or Radio 4. OH likes Radio 5 Live. If our CD changer was working I'd be listening to chill out music...helps me stay serene in the ridiculous London traffic Love, Cookie. xx
The Dogmother
It depends really, both Rosie and I have eclectic music tastes, so it can be anything from Tom Jones, Italian opera through to Moby and Ibiza hard dance. Currently it's the Bee Gees
Popcorn
I am a bit partial to Rould Dahl's story tapes (no CD's in our old banger!) The BFG is a real fave!
