Louise
BTW what are your feelings about the hamster being smarter than Bart
Guest
but doesn't Bart kidnap the hamster and stick it in a toy plane - thus proving that hamsters can fly - and wins the science fair first prize? or was I dreaming that bit? Phil
Linda
I haven't seen that one but it certainly sounds like Simpsons episode to me!!!
Louise
The hamster does go into the plane at some point Phil I loved the bit with the electrified muffin best
Sheilaz
Bread & butter pudding! (The topic, peeps, the topic ) But agree about Simpson's, something for all the family. OK, sister arriving for lunch, so off to make the said pudding. Delia's recipe using marmalade is totally scrummy. Thing is, for just us 2, should I double to a 4 person recipe. Fine, but what if OH appears (60 miles away, but he'll smell it & it's his fave.) So, should I double again & make for 8 people? Yes, sis & I will manage that. Just won't be able to move this afternoon.

Crooked Chicken
Bread Pudding - y u m m y!!! My nan makes the most delicious and best bread pudding e v e r!!! My kitchen is full of home made goodies today. I made Romany's hotslaw (tasted great with yesterdays leftover bacon joint) and a half pound cake. Also, my sis-in-law took half a days holiday to come over here and make me a birthday cake - how fab is that. My boys helped her - chocolate sponge cake with strawberry jam filling, dusting of icing sugar on top, covered in Smarties and Chocci Buttons. Yum

Bread Pudding is quite different to Bread and Butter Pudding - the topic has changed to Bread and Butter Pud. I knew that, Lesley, no wheat! Fruit salad? Yes, the topic is bread pudding, which is quite different, but I was so excited about mine that I mis read the post. Still, my pud was a lot nearer the topic than the previous cartoon discussion! I made the 4-6 portion, sis & I stood over son as we allowed him to take a small bowl, and left a bit for Shep. Gone! Will have to make another! Sheilaz
I know. The marmalade had gone all sticky, the edges were crusty, but the middle was soggy with cream. Mmmmmm. Sis said it must be soooo good because of the eggs! (I think she was after some of my portion)

Mel (& Paul)
sometimes its ok - but if we go to a posh dinner and the set menu is something he cant have, the chef seems to think that fruit salad is ok which it is. but not every time

Bread Pudding is quite different to Bread and Butter Pudding - the topic has changed to Bread and Butter Pud. I knew that, Lesley, no wheat! Fruit salad? Wheat isn't such a problem - i make it with spelt bread - it's the squashed flies I don't like I use apricots in mine. I love bread and butter pud. (with apricots) but I hate Bread Pud. Mel - I understand Paul - it's as bad as Vegetarians always being offered pasta in tomato sauce Fine in a friends house and for supper but not at a Christmas 'Do' when you have to pay the same exhorbitant price as someone eating half a duck! (now look what you've done! )
