sootem
Being a new Omleteer, the very proud owner of a Green Cube and new chicken mummy I just wondered how everyone found out about Omlet. My daughter would love to have chickens and she told me to look at Omlet. I fell in love at first sight:D Susanx

lisaroo2
How did I find out about Omlet? Ooooooooh. This has really got me thinking I THINK that I saw an advert in a gardening magazine that I was reading, can't remember which one. I can remember visiting the website, talking to Barbara at Omlet and then signing myself up to go on a hen party run by a lovely lady in Sheffield. After seeing the eglu 'in the flesh' so to speak, I was convinced it was how I wanted to keep hens.
Helly Welly
I saw an article in The Independent on Sunday but it took at least a year to actually get an eglu.
sootem
I know how you feel - I was just amazed at the design of the eglu and couldn't wait to get one. I think we need to go forth and multiply Susanx
Rachel F
I saw an advert for an eglu at the Design Museum in London many years ago - it is a place to show case new designs etc. It was love at first sight, but took me about five years to finally quench my longing! Chickvic
I saw the eglu in T3 (a technology mag) and have been visiting Omlet since...that must have been 4 years or so ago. Finally got round to ordering this year! Finally afford it! I've never looked anywhere else for chickens or coops.
sootem
I looked at the wooden houses but decided that Omlet was best. Susan
Cooks
My mum told me about the eglu, she'd seen it on tv somewhere and I think I googled.. to find out more and stumbled my way in.. in 2005 but family issues prevented me getting the girls then, but I have them now!! edited.. sorry my spelling is terrible, I need a spellchecker! Hen Watch
My family visited an organic free range egg farm back in October 2006 as a competition prize and loved the chickens. Then in March 2007 I saw an article on the "new" cube in my children's weekly newspaper called First News (which is great by the way if you have kids 9yrs plus). They showed a picture of the cube but when I rang Omlet it hadn't actually even been launched and the newspaper had run the story early. Anyway, I was convinced about an eglu vs. wooden coup and went ahead and ordered.
Tottya
Well I saw my first Omlet in the Sunday Mail last summer and I just knew it was for me!!
sootem
Perhaps Omlet should have the slogan 'Love at First Sight'
chucknette
I was looking through the local property paper and saw a lovely house which also showed a picture of the garden which had an eglu with two chickens free rangeing. I could just make out the word omlette on the side of the shade. Looked it up on google, my son ordered a brochure, my daughter ordered it and we havent look back since. Have since moved onto the cube which I love as it doesnt involve a lot of bending when Im cleaning it.
SLK69
was mad 'googler' as part of my exbatt pre rescue research and stumbled upon omlet and that was it - went to a hen party and never looked back. Have a purple cube + extension + extra covers etc and an empty saving account
Abbey Road Girl
Saw the Eglu adverts in Country Living years ago, but it was the Cube (which makes more sense for limited space) that really convinced me. And I also found Hugh Fearnley-Wittingstall's TV Chicken Out documentary moving beyond words. I've lived on Abbey Road for more that 20 years and nothing has excited my neighbours (ok, as far as I know ) more than the arrival of my girls. It's been a life-transforming experience! Ain't Nobody Here
I decided I wanted chickens last summer, spent ages on the internet looking into traditional hen houses, stumbled across the Omlet site and the rest is history .
Sheilaz
I looked at the wooden houses but decided that Omlet was best. Susan Same here Susan. Husband suggested a couple of hens & we were set to buy a wooden ark. But, the place we went to had a 6 week wait so we searched the internet & nervously decided to gamble on the weird lump of plastic. Every day since I've been so glad we chose Omlet, definitely the right decision, I love the Eglu. We started with 1 mark one Eglu and a pair of hens over 3 years ago....the rest is history! Egluntyne
My sister showed me an advert, I looked at the website and the forum and the rest as they say , is history.
BeckyBoo
I was talking to someone at work about getting some hens and she told me she had bought her hueband an Eglu and two hens for his birthday. So I deided to do that, checked the website, started saving then got left some money by an uncle and ordered an orange cube and five hens for Fathers Day! Now we've got 13 hens! Lovemychooks
I checked google for "battery hens", found their website and found Omlet linked from the BHWT website (that was back in March 07) and haven't looked back since !
Cinnamon
I saw an ad in Good Housekeeping while we were on holiday abroad, so I had a whole 2 weeks to work on The Hubby & be extra nice to him so I could order when I got home. It worked - oh the powers of sun, wine & a persuasive wife
Scooby
I decided I wanted to go for it and get some hens, started googling for hen houses and came across omlet that way. Didn't look at wooden houses at all after that!
Seagazer
I'd been talking to hubby about having chickens for years, didn't think it was feasible in a smallish town garden. Saw a report on hen keeping in a very small town garden in the Mail on Sunday and that was it - googled, looked at the forum for a few weeks and then ordered. Best thing I could have done - can't wait for the eggs now Its also amazing how many people you talk to who want to have chickens or who know people that have chickens. Gallina
I saw an advert in the Sunday Times, and then looked at the Omlet website. I hankered after an Eglu for some week, and was extremely lucky, because when I succumbed the Mark 2 had just come out. If I hadn't shown restraint, I would have had one of the last Mark 1s.
