riane
I haven't being posting much as I have been so busy but I have been doing lots of late night reading. WHY have I been so busy?Well, As some of you may remember we have being trying to sell our house for the last year. Well we have finally accepted an offer and the house we have been hoping for has accepted our offer!!! So we are hopefully moving on 23rd June. We have packed the loft up today 40 boxes and a sore back. Its all go go go. The house we are moving to is in Derbyshire and has a 2 acre paddock. So more chickens are top of the list Also a cube I think Sods law of course has made all this happen when I am about to go into hospital for an operation. Should be off my feet for a week but will then be able to do some light packing. I will just have to command from the sofa and get the family packing. Just so excited and holding my breath until we exchange contracts. Edited June 25, 2008 by Guest
Olly
Congratulations! Moving house is hard work, but it's all worth it. Definitely sit on the sofa and direct things, don't overdo it after your op. 2 acres - think how many chickens you can get in there!

Helly Welly
, thtat's me. Wow, what excellent news. Fingers crossed until completion but i'm sure everything will be fine. DO NOT do anything after your op, no matter how tempted. Having someone directing operations will actually be very useful instaed of everybody running around like, excuse the expression, headless chickens. And two acres, apart from more chickens, i'd have to get a goat, i adore goats. Oooh, and some Runner ducks. See, it's me who needs your house really

Tessa the Duchess
Take it very easy after the op. Lie back and imagine all the wonderful things you can do with 2 acres. I would have loads of chickens, ducks, geese and some pigs Also very jealous. Tessa

Charlottechicken
Good luck with everything Maria, I hope it all goes smoothly for you At least you have some plans for your extra land. My friend has two acres with her watermill, they moved in 8 months ago and still haven't figured out what to do with it (I have loads of ideas however........) Lesley
I could think of plenty of things too Claire! Where roughly is the watermill? There's a lovely one out at Hampton Lucy, in Warks. That's where I was nearly caught out by the floods yesterday Clare - good job it's a Watermill Cutting the grass sounds like a good idea Maria - up until April, we think we are getting on top of all our grass and then in May it suddenly grows so fast that we can't keep up! Goats would be good - as long as you have good fencing

Shirl
I'm very . I'd love to move to somewhere with a bit of land but DSs don't drive so it's a no go. Also we want to be mortgage free in 2 years so a move is def not on the cards.
