chocchick
Some of the comments on the website are priceless... "As an aside, my husband was really pleased when he found out it was made in the UK. He was a bit grossed out when I was sterilising it in the saucepan, but he's got used to that now." "p.s. would it be possible to get some more stickers. I made the foolish mistake of getting my new mooncup out to show my sister while in a bar with some friends and some of the boys decided they wanted to wear the stickers." got it out in a bar There was one chewed by a dog too Edited May 25, 2006 by Guest
Fleata
thanks AnnieP would like to see how it goes for you. I'll be using it for the first time next week so fingers (and legs) crossed.
The Dogmother
Fleata has very kindly posted mine to me, so I will be able to tell you how I get on soonest. BTW, so all the forum members menstruate together like women who work together?
Lesley
Martin hasn't posted about the Mooncup for a while At least with your Mooncups, you lot aren't going to make the same mistake as me - stock up on the usual requisites and then suddenly don't need them anymore - my bathroom cupboard is full I suppose I might still get a surprise

Just testing Martin - I knew you wouldn't be able to resist Claret - I was fine and then just stopped - dead on age 51 I suppose I could just hang on to the pads and use them as incontinence pads instead (when the time comes of course ) I don't think Mooncup would help there

Do you think Martin can cope with our menopauses as well as menstruation? You know what - my oestrogen's running out and I don't really give a hoot! Martin (I know you're listening) thanks for being discreet; it's not a trait normally associated with chaps, let alone young ones - you'll go far! AnnieP
OK. I am incredibly impressed! Day 3 of using it and I really like it. My periods are horribly heavy, as I have a rather large fibroid. I used to wear two super plus tampons at the same time and these would need changing every hour on the worst day before leaking again. It meant that I couldn't leave the house and spent basically the whole day sitting on the loo. Now, of course, this hasn't changed: "My cup it overfloweth" 10 times on Saturday, but at least I wasn't flushing tampons down the toilet into our biodisk! Its eased off today and will stop by the end of tomorrow, thank goodness A plus for me is that I now know just how bad my periods are. When I have been to the specialist in the past and he asks me "well how much do you loose every month?" I have always struggled to answer. Now I know: Way way too much! No wonder I am always severely anaemic! Anyway, back to the Mooncup (sorry for that girls: Too much information), it is comfortable, easy to use, although I was a bit sore on Saturday, but then I would expect most people wouldn't have to keep removing and replacing it quite as often as me. One person I know did get thrush form this. So, for me, a hit! Thanks for the suggestion, and yes, I am now going to take the next step regarding sorting out my fibriod once and for all, as I have realised that it is not good for me to loose this much blood every month. Cinnamon
I saw an ad on TV yesterday for something called The Keeper, which sounds very similar to the Mooncup. I am going to keep an eye out for one on sale (size a )....unless anyone sees one & can mail it to me
Guest
I've been and had a nose, and found the Kepper in an online shop - it's £36.75, so is a lot more expensive than the mooncup, and looks exactly the same apart from the colour.
