dogs and chickens
Thank you all for your lovely comments, we are both so excited but really worried at the same time about money but as said above you would never have them if you waited as babies/children cost so much more then you could ever save up Number 1 is 14 months but still a baby in my eyes. I think when he starts walking I might see it differently but having said that I guess he will always be my baby!!! I just wish I was not soooooo ill when pregnant, it was from start to finish with No. 1 and am just the same this time. Mind you I'm sure there are loads of people who would love to loose so much weight when pregnant! I weighed 1.5 stone less after having No. 1 than I did before I fell pregnant, which although I felt awful I did not have to loose the baby weight ! Although I hate the being sick part ! So who else is in the pudding club? Michelle
theherd123
Me! Bean is due on the 23rd September. The current accommodation is getting rather cramped - bijou & compact some would say however as the feet in the ribs situation is getting a little painful at times im hoping Bean will decide to move out a little early! Yorkshire Pudding
I'm not, just wanted to congratulate you! I had my own two after years of being warned it was never likely to happen. Despite all the 'againsts', here they are, large as life and twice as messy!

I remember it well, and not lokking forward to it again either! Love the name Bean, our's is currently an It or little Pea. We had the midwife round this morning and Baby screamed the whole way through our chat Bless him! I found walking towards the end very helpful in moving things along, even though I was so huge and very duck footed!

Guest
I'm definately not in the Pudding Club, but it was this time last year (almost to the day!) that I had my first early scan to confirm that Squidger was hanging in there, strong and determined - March is a FAB time to be born - he and my brother share a birthday! theherd123
Possibly! Anyone else for a glass of freshly chilled 'special' water?! How about running a book on how many forum users can get pregnant in the next 12 months??

Looney
Ooh congratulations! (not sure how I missed this thread before - delayed reaction!! ) I'm not in the pudding club, Bogwoppit arrived in April this year and no plans for number two just yet! (although i could be persuaded! oops did I just admit that?! ) OH was made redundant a few weeks after littl'un arrived so that was wonderful timing He has since taken a temp contract and last week he was offered a permanent job. Massive paycut but in an area he wants to work in so long-term it should be a wise move, he couldn't face going back into sales. Money will be tight but hey ho, priorities change Hope something turns up for your OH soon. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy
Couperwife
do you know, I love the names that people call their soon to be born little darlings so, up to now, I have read.... bean squidger (but not sure if this was pre-born, or after born? ) bogwoppit.....? Snowy
Funny how they get pre-birth names isn't it? My two were Bumpy and Spud
Looney
Mine was called Marmaduke or Gertrude when still living on the inside. He's only become Bogwoppit since emerging! I managed to pick up a copy of Bogwoppit recently (a book that I remember from childhood) and can't see any resemblance thank goodness apart from big eyes! Yoda made me laugh
Guest
Squidger became Squidger after he appeared and his big sister pointed out that he had the squidgiest little cheeks ever seen in a little boy, and it stuck. Before he was born he was know as several things - 'Fat Pig' for the second half of the pregnancy, after his stomach measurement at the 17 week scan was shown to be on the 150th centile on the charts. And for quite a lot og the time we referred to him as 'her', as we were convinced he was in fact a she.
dogs and chickens
Love it so cool all the little nicknames! I have been feeling so poorly over the last few days, I think I have had 2 days were no food stayed put at all I am sooooo hungrey! I would really like a proper meal to stay where it is meant to. I also as no food staying put feel really tired. Plus ultra stressed about hubby's job so all in all feel fairly naff! It's good to know that we're not the only ones looseing job's at the moment not that I would wish it on anyone, but makes me feel more human. Great idea about seeing how many omleteers fall pregers in the next year Michelle x
theherd123
Michelle, im sure it will all get better soon. I went through the morning sickness bit but it's never just morning is it? Morning, noon & night sickness is a more appropriate name! I was told to eat/drink anything with ginger in it - i cant say as it really worked for me but world wide ginger production did rise slightly when i was going through this stage
Chickvic
Congratulations! My son was born in March and so was I! My hubby was made redundant on the day he was born! Good luck for your OH!

dogs and chickens
I keep telling myself that it's the end result we're after, but seems really hard and painful at the moment! I keep feeling like my little one is looseing out as I feel poorly. Then I feel really guilty
Aunty e
Sorry, was catching up and spotted this thread. Hyperemesis is no fun at all, but my sis found that keeping something to eat by the bed, and nibbling on it before getting up in the morning helped, as well as lots and lots of tiny meals, and NO big ones. I'm sure you've had tons of advice, but that's my only tip. Hope you feel better already, and are keeping focused on the end result (so cute). Egluntyne
Awful isn't it. That is why I stopped at three.....couldn't face it again. Sea bands did help a little. Might be worth a try.
dogs and chickens
Still feeling really rubbish and landing myself in hospital earlier this week, they thought I had apendititis (sp) but I had a wall of gas in my tummy due to my bad diet ! I am still in so much pain and all the women said to me was drink peppermint tea and have loads of fruit and veg That's all very well and I would be the first one with that advice but fruit, veg and red meat, pasta come back again in about 5 minutes! She failed to see what I was talking about and said you will keep food down if you try stupid doctor does she think I like being sick Funnily loads of people have come up with keep food next to bed and have something (ginger nut bis normally) before you get up. Sadly this would not help me, as my 'morning' sickness starts at mid-day through till I go to bed, breakfast ends up being a feast!!! Hope all you other pregers ladies out there are feeling better than I? Mx
