Cinnamon
HELP!!! My dear little Roomba has a problem today. I have taken off & out everything that I can, cleaned it all up & replaced them. He just sits in the middle of the floor, spinning on the spot, then does his sad little 'help me,I am not well' bleeps An orange light come on on top, opposite the dirt detector light, but I can't find any reference to that in the manual. Any ideas?

buffie
We had a problem, tell the supplier Sarah, they were terrific, collected ours and repaired 'him' and he was back 48 hours later. Just as I was swearing at the dyson that had decided to stop working too Buffie x
Cinnamon
Well, I took him all apart & put him back together again, & now he seems to be OK. There was a hot electrical smell though,so I will call them up tomorrow. Its stupid isn't it,but I am really quite attatched to him

Guest
I know that feeling - I had it when our cleaner said she was going on holiday for 2 weeks. Then a miracle happend. The cats bought fleas in and we were infested - she hoovered all through on her last visit then the council pest man came and sprayed his stuff. Then we were NOT ALLOWED to hoover for a fortnight - hey presto she was back!!!!

Guest
So fleas do have their benefits then Yeah but here we are three weeks later and the cats have fleas again! Now if Mum would just stop encouraging "spot" to hang around (stray!) our cats might not keep getting infested!
Scooby
I was reading this with interest as I had been wondering if I was the only one who refered to my roomba as a 'he'. Glad it's not just me then Why is that, I wonder?
KimmyCustard
Scooby - I think its wishful thinking that its a 'he'! I just luurrve my Dyson, referred to as Sheila, as I'd like a cleaner but cant afford one so I refer to her as 'Sheila will sort that out.' Although after not being allowed to hoover for 8 weeks (after an op) I missing whizzing round with her, OH has been doing it! He tends to go round the middle and misses the edges but Im not complaining! So, now I need an Eglu, a Roomba, a humane mousetrap, a Terramundi and chickens! Anything else???!!! KimmyCustard
Eg, Never, in all that is Holy, will a pair of those nasty rubbery things adorn my hooves. Dont care what colours they come in, or how useful they are, NEVER NEVER and you cant make me!! Kimmy x
Shirl
My Roomba is called Ruby. When my original Ruby packed up I called Lakeland and they picked her up and left a new one in her place. New Ruby is only allowed on our hard floors because I'm sure it's the carpets that ruined the other one. My cleaner hasn't been for the last 6 weeks and I can't say I've noticed, well except for the money saved.

Kimmy x Ha Ha that sound familliar (hangs head in shame ) You also need a tub trug, a stem cleaner and a kenwood chef. And dont forget all the chickenalia paraded on the forum for us all to see. This forum is a hard place to be sometimes, you have to put your fingers in your ears, cover your eyes and sit on your hands and chant "I DONT need one, I DONT need one" over and over untill the urge passes. Sarah, I do hope your little Roomba is ok after his major surgery.

Cinnamon
Roomba dear (as he gets called in our house) is most certainly a he. I think it makes a refreshing change to have a male do the housework He seems OK, but as there was a distinct electrical smell,I am going to phone the customer services dept up today
KimmyCustard
MissusCluck, Ah, I have a PINK tub trug and Mum has a Kenwood Chef - does that count?! What the Sarah Jessica Parker is a stem cleaner?! Not something gynacological is it, Ive had enough of that area....... Kimmy x
Egluntyne
Slight typo. It is "steam" and deffo not gynae in nature.
KimmyCustard
Ah, with you now. I have a small steam Bissell carpet cleaner and parents have a Karcher steam cleaner for cars, patios, windows etc. Is that the same thing or is there yet ANOTHER thing I know I wont be able to live without?! (I have a Magic Cupboard - also known as the dishwasher, I just luurrrvve that). Kimmy x
