On the plus side, I bought a new one yesterday....."Silver Bells". Lovely.

Paola
Is it a good strong smell from the candles? I hate it when you have to practically burn your eyebrows off to be able to smell the candle

Reikiranf
I've never tried Yankee candles! I have Partylite candles, are Yankee candles as good as Partylite or are they even better? Amanda

Angels4
My favorite Chritmassy candle...and they appear to have discontinued it. Anyone know any different? On the plus side, I bought a new one yesterday....."Silver Bells". Lovely. Sorry Egluntine! As I'm close to the Yankee Candle Factory and Flagship Store I thought I might be able to find an overstock of your favorite, but no such luck. I did find this website http://www.candlestomydoor.com that seems to have some in stock, but not sure about shipping and if it would be cost effective. Perhaps "Sparkeling Snow" would be a good alternative.
Egluntyne
Kind of you to thinkof it. Sparkling Snow you say? Sounds as if it might have possibilities. Off to google it.

chelsea
Yankee candles are fabulous. Im a candle freak and over the year have tried loads of makes.....nothing compares to Yankee. Their sampler sets on QVC are very good value if you are a beginner as you get 20 or so assorted scents and then you can find what you like. Im a vanilla/cinammon/spicy person myself. Cinnamon
Im a vanilla/cinammon/spicy person myself. Me too, I like cinnamony, spicy, warm smells myself, especially in my living room. Then in the bedroom I like crisper ones, like clean cotton or Island Spa (I have a massive one of these next to my side of the bed & it is gorgeous). Then I have 'Sun Sea & Sand' in the bathroom, & that is a perfect scent for in there- very like Ambre Solaire sun oil
chelsea
ooh, I dont think i've tried sun, sea and sand....sounds I saw they had christmas large candles half price on one site I visited the other day. I cant afford "non essential" items at the moment though.

bluekarin
I once bought some of their small candles and they came packaged in some of their display boxes which smelt lovely. I stored some christmas ribbons in them one year. When I took them out the next they had absorbed the smell from the boxes, so all my presies smelt gorgous! I keep meaning to buy some. Maybe my christmas pressie to myself.
Lesley
I like the Clean Cotton as well. I also bought a tart - a pumpkin/spice type one....I keep it near the computer and am always sniffing it......... it smells so good that I keep nibbling it - it tastes nothing like the smell
abwsco
A lady on another forum I belong to makes 'tarts' and I've found them much better than Yankee candles and loads cheaper as well
Valkyrie
I've seen the adverts in shops so many times but never tried them - think maybe I should. We brought some wonderful smelly candles home from the US made from soya. Unfortunately they are so strong they make me sneeze and wheeze, so only on for short bursts at a time. Of those are Spiced Apple and the other is Vanilla. But I love the cinammonly pot pourris in M&S.
