I can hardly get my head round putting a pink tshirt on a dog & carrying it in a bag, much less colouring it up & wrapping it's ears to look like horns........

 

My three would wreck the place before letting me do that to them...!

My wee lurcher pup is so cold at the moment (they have very little body fat) that she needs to wear a little coat outside.. I am mortified

You should go to a big dog show in the US (actually they are just as bad with cats)

 

Amongst the huge array of themed clothing, nappies etc you can buy different coloured false nails for your pooch to compliment the coat cut and colour.

Vets will even implant false testicles after neutering your dog. They come in different sizes and are called "Neuticles".

There was something on the radio this morning about some research that's proved that dogs DO experience envy & embarrassment and are far more complex emotionally than has previously been thought (other than dog owners of course)...

 

I think that dog is definitely embarrassed and should sue its owner!!!

That I can understand - a waterproof or coat to keep a dog dry or warm due to breed/medical reasons (one of my old labs lost a lot of her fur towards the end of her life, so she wore a fleece wrap which I made her whenever she went outside).

 

Its the fancy bejewelled stuff which I can't grasp...and as for neuticles ...who has the problem, the dog or the owner

Ruby will be semi-rough coated when she is bigger, so will be insulated against the cold, but she's growing so fast at the moment that she is skinny as anything.

Those 'people' have far too much time on thier hands and those dogs deserve a better home where theyr treated as pets rather than canvases used to win trophies.

 

My friends dog wears a coat when its raining/cold beacuse she hates winter weather and used to refuse to go out if it was too cold/wet, now she refuses to go if she doesn't like the weather and you haven't put her coat on lol

I think I agree with Tessa - It must be bordering on animal cruelty to put a dog through all that. And as for 'neuticles'.....don't get me started!

I have rhinestones on Suzi's new coat, but only because it was a coat that was being sold for a doggy charity so I bought it. It doesn't fit her yet either and it's pink! which I don't normally do at all. they both have rhinestone on their leather collars though, I am sorry for that but they have to have their sparklies

These people in those photos are crazy, totally unfair to subject a dog to that, I wonder if they would be so willing to be paraded around being made to look like that!

The neuticles thing is 'interesting' as it used to be against kennel club rules to exhibit a dog that wasnt 'entire' unless there was a medical reason for having the op so...if you wanted to curb a dogs wanderlust but still show it..that would be a way round it I suppose..not that I would agree with messing about with the poor dog of course to please the owners daft enough to want to do it
