Ain't Nobody Here
Check these out . Billy Idol looks a bit odd , Steven Tyler's mouth is unfeasibly large, as ever, but I particularly like the London Gay Men's Chorus .
laurmurf
thanks for these, ANH - they're great! My Chemical romance was ED's favourite but I favoured London Gay Men's chorus myself!
Redwing
How could you both miss the genius that is Yellowman, thats a great song! BTW You can play several of these at the same time to make your own tunes, I played Yellowman and the London Gay Mens Chorus at the same time to great effect
Cinnamon
I liked My Chemical Romance the best - Gerard Way is a cutie I used to have a great Chriatmal album about 16 years ago, which we played in the shop I ran every day.It had remakes of Christmas classics by rock stars of the time, & was brilliant. I still maintain that my favourite ever Christmas song is 'Walking 'round in Womens Underwear' (to the tune of walking in a winter wonderland) by Bob Rivers & a different gay mens chorus
craftyhunnypie
I like Jingle Bells by Basshunter! I like Pipes of Peace, Simply having a wonderful Xmas time, Slade, Wizard, Little town of Bethlehem, Once in royal David's city & little donkey is a real favourite. School days eh? I've never sang any old carols since! Emma.x
Egluntyne
Saw a grisly rendition of Little Drummer Boy on telly the other day, by Aled Jones and, of all people, Terry Wogan. Not a good pairing.
Guest
Saw a grisly rendition of Little Drummer Boy on telly the other day, by Aled Jones and, of all people, Terry Wogan. Not a good pairing. Its FANTASTIC - Wogan still has it and that Jones boy isn't bad either. The video is a bit toe curling though but hey Christmas No1's (i'm with Chris Evans on this one) are meant to be cheesy! bluekarin
Just having a little listen now. If only they'd play the My Chemical Romance version instead of Mariah Carey on Radio 1. Much better. Liked the Gay Men's Choir too. Am listening to Band Aid - just realised it's the remixed one. Rubbish And OMG the Little Drummer Boy
Joojoo
"over and over and over again..." http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8kmPz5IbU90 I go with that one too Did you see the interview on GMTV on Friday? Hilarious. Britains Got the Pop Factor... is repeated this Sunday evening and next Sunday it's the follow up to what Geraldine has been up to since she won

Angels4
I LOVE "Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas" but had never heard this version. BEAUTIFUL!!! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ktCc9QPbU7w or my new favorite version of "The Little Drummer Boy" http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0XYeWG3bvL0
dancing cloud
"Alien for Christmas" by Fountains of Wayne - just the right amount of silliness to counteract anything pompous played by anyone else
Old Speckled Hen
You have to add Fairy Tale of New York by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl
susanbb
whenever I hear Slade, "Mery Christmas Everybody" I just have to join in at "It's Christmas" in a rather loud voice....... in tune of course :
little chickadee
We have an absolutely fabulous new Christmas album called "Jingle all the way" by Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. http://www.myspace.com/belaflecktones We've had it on constantly since we got it. Bela Fleck has done a lot of work with African musicians at the moment and there are some bizarre vocal parts in some of the songs, but don't let that put you off having a listen! Kate Rusby also has a new Christmas album out (just) called Sweet Bells which is very nice, although not in the same league as the Flecktones. http://www.fishrecords.co.uk/reviews/sweetbells.htm
Valkyrie
I much prefer MCR's version to Mariah Carey's, DD used to be an avid fan (BOB the drummer for her). Last year she wanted frames to put her Kerrangs into - they did a special of one band member on the covers. We looked high and low, so Bob was found in Hartley Wintney, Gerard was in Hook. Frank was in Frome, Mikey in Basingstoke and Ray was finally unearthed in Woolworths in Reading. She likes The Blackout now. The pictures were never hung in her room. What a waste of time and effort. I like Shakin' Stevens. Ooooh dear. Have you seen the 3 Priests CD? I can't help thinking of Father Ted!
