Oh I am so sorry not to have been there :( . About to PM Lesley.

 

Tell me all about it, can't seen an obvious thread. I got as far as my parents and felt faint and could hardly put one foot in front of the other. I can only think I've just run myself ragged. :shock: Mikey has sent me out all day with the chooks while he has tidied the house and is making a stew for tonight. I hope you had a lovely time and waht to hear all about it :wink:

Sorry to hear you haven't been so well Buffie, such a shame you couldn't make it we had a lovely day and looked at all the animals, the farm is great. We had to have the picnic inside because of the weather but it was still good to meet everybody, and guessing who was who from the baby pictures was good fun but very difficult I thought Ginette was Dan...... :lol:

And only got 5 right................ :roll:

 

Hope you are feeling better today take it easy and put your feet up, good on Mikey for doing the cooking and looking after you........

I will add my thanks here too! :D

Mo & I had a fantastic time - we both loved the chickens, turkeys, rabbits & ducks & hope to have at least 4 of each in the future! :D:D

Mo adored the Buff Orpington & thought it was big enough to ride on! :shock::roll:

We loved the piggies and they enjoyed all the apples. 8) We took a peek at the bovine escapologists & I also saw eglus in the flesh for the first time - oh my they are big!!

(I think we'll have 2!) :D

I scored a grand total of 0 out of 25 on the quiz & found out that Jonnie was not fond of cucumber when he was a child but is very fond of beer now! :lol::lol: I met some fellow Omleteers who i hadnt seen before, including (& Paul) [he does exist and is not a figment of Mels imagination] & the weather held out for us too - only a little drizzle & lots of wind. Much Lemon Drizzle cake & a good time was had by all! :D

Lemon Drizzle Cake???? - I missed it :(

 

Yesterday, I ate...........

1 Cinnamon pastry at the cafe with Clare, Martin and Emma before we all visited the Farmers' Market

3 Pringles that Louise gave to me to put on the table and.......

A handful of Hula Hoops later on :( No-one else wanted a take-away :(

 

Today I have been eating all the fruit and veg I missed out on yesterday. I took Louise on a sightseeing trip around Stratford and she started her long journey home at 3pm - she should be home by 10pm!

 

Thank you all for coming in what was such horrible weather. It was lovely to see you and you must have had such horrible journies :( Fair weather would have been much nicer for all the teenagers who must have been so bored - I only have games and toys for 6/8 year olds :?

 

On the other hand - the weather could have been worse - the wind only nearly wrecked the two gazebos which we spent two hours putting up - Carl managed to rescue them :? and it didn't snow or flood :roll::lol::lol:

 

Thanks for the chocolates/wine/flowers and most of all - your company 8)

As Carl was heard to say at midnight - "they're all such nice people" 8)

It sounds like you all had a great time. I was very disappointed that other committments meant that I couldn't join you all. I'm also disappointed that none of you seem to have managed photos :roll::wink:

Obviously all far to busy chatting and eating cake 8)

Buffie, I'm sorry that you weren't well yesterday, I do hope that you're feeling better today.

I had my camera too but didn't take any pictures. On reflection, I think it didn't feel right. We were guests in Lesley's home and people don't generally take photos in someone else's house. A group picture for posterity would have been nice though!

 

And my girls weren't bored either. They had a great time. :D Today they keep hanging around the computer asking me what's going on on the forum!! I think they're pleased to be able to put faces to all the names I keep talking about! :roll: Especially of course, Lesley and her farm!

Can I add our very big Thank you for yesterday :D It was wonderful to see the farm 'in real life' as my daughter Sarah said :D

 

We didn't take photo's either, although I did take a camera :roll:

 

It was lovely to see everyone, and to be able to talk about chickens etc. without people going :roll: as my friends occasionally do :oops:

Only just got to this thread :roll: so just to repeat our thanks for such a lovely afternoon - it was great, despite the weather. :D

 

Buff, I hope that you're feeling better now, take it easy Hon and have some hugs. I am knackered too after two v late nights and having been off with Rosie today, painting fences in the garden.

 

Mel, tell Paul that the fence sprayer is as FAB as he said it was :D

The farm is amazing 8)

 

I got home at 21.15 on Sunday it was a really good drive home unlike the horrible weather on the way down :lol: It was a monsoon from Shap summit on the M6 until I got to the M6 toll road :roll:

 

BTW the M6 toll is worth every penny :lol:

 

Yes I am off this week and yes I am sitting at my desk typing this but for once I feel no guilt about playing on the forum :lol:
