jackiepoppies Posted January 1, 2009 Share Posted January 1, 2009 Hello everyone I'm back Very eventful time. Came to UK 9th Dec. 'Pooter not working at all. Sent for repair. In the meantime, I got chronic bronchitis and ended up in hospital in Coventry for over a week where I managed to catch this Norvirus or whatever it's called and my ward was shut down with no visitors So much for seeing the family Came out of hosp. but have really felt quite ill, (I will not bore you with very unpleasant details ) Suffice to say am now beginning to feel better! Anyway, found out yesterday 'pooter is decidedly dead and will be with manufacturers for who knows how long.......so the long and the short of it is, am returning to France tonight as I think I am well enough to travel, couldn't bear the separation from you lot any longer so went out and bought myself another laptop today SO HERE I AM First thing I did was log on and saw your very kind comments. Only saving grace was losing a stone in weight I'll be pretty piddled off if I put it back on again after what I have deprived myself of and enduring a hospital diet Still don't fancy any alcohol so am obviously not better yet....you will know when I am! Ms Marple Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Sorry to hear you have been so poorly One of my friends contracted the Norovirus last Christmas and ended up in hospital over the holiday period and also lost a stone in weight which she has managed to keep off. Her thinking was a bit like yours in that she was determined to because she had such an awful time. I hope you are well on your way to recovery.
