Angels4
..............as I was packing for my Caribbean cruise (I leave Saturday) wouldn't it be nice to meet my fellow Omleeters on a European Cruise. I'm certian with such a large group we could get a substantial discount. Are there any travel booking agents lurking about the forum? Seagazer
Bon Voyage Mark Hope you have a great time. I've never been on a cruise - I fancy doing a Norwegian fjord (sp?) cruise - trouble is as I've got older I get more sea sick

cluckbok
Ooh jammy! that sounds lovely. I bet it would be a laugh if the omleteers went! I wonder whether they would cater for all our chooks, could have a couple of cubes and eglus set up on deck

Guest
oooooh count is IN as long as it's in school holidays we love cruising! We did the Fjords on the QE2 - AMAZING, but then anywhere on the QE2 was amazing as you got such a good reception. QM2 has just had a wonderful refit - they have the wifi working in the staterooms now so no excuse not to get your forum fix.....They also have extra sofas in my fave bar! oooooh I just though if we went on a cruise together we could get a "chicken keepers" meeting in the newsletter. Now what could we be, there are already Friends of...for a couple of groups We could be "Friends of Tom & Barbara" I guess - any better suggestions??? Have fun Mark - not done the Caribbean as we don't like a lot of flying. Our next cruise is in May to the Med then the Med again in August and Mum has a Transatlantic booked (I'm not TOTALLY green with envy!) for November. Funny she NEVER fancied at crossing until I did one, then when we did the double last year she was HOOKED! Oh and as for seasickness, force 8/9 on QM2 last year and barely felt it - on the right boat it really needent be a problem.

Angels4
Thank you for the well wishes............I will miss being here with all of you. I've never cruised before nor have I "vacationed" in the Caribbean as I'm really not a beach fan, I'd much rather be in Europe visiting Museums and Cathedrals. mostin
You'll only need the air fare to england Mark, and think of all the omleteers you could impose on to see the sights all over the country . Plus all the chickens to be seen . Any time you are passing through yorkshire, feel free to knock on my door. I loved it when our friends from Virginia came to stay, showing them the sights near us made me appreciate what was near me all over again too. Lesley
and we're based on Stratford upon Avon Just don't come yet as the Theatre is being rebuilt and the centre of town resembles one big building site .....and they've ruined the Bancroft Gardens........no mature trees now We could sort out an itinerary - and play Pass the Parcel with Mark! laurmurf
come to York, come to York! We've got culture, archaeology and history dripping out of our drains (did you know it is still legal in York to shoot a Scot with a bow and arrow within the city walls?)... and our lovely chickens to visit! we do the Yank/Limey/Jock cross over bit too! (although the scot is in hiding from modern-day Robin Hoods ) I suppose you'll have a good time on the cruise too.....
