Omletina Kyckling
wow have a great time i'm looks like great fun, probably a drink or two too!! You do realise that Lincoln is up the A1 and we are only 13 miles from the A1 as you head back south, don't you? You could call in for coffee/cake and chicken chat, even if you can't do a lot of crafting?!

Omletina Kyckling
I think nearer the time, we'll need a plan! Perhaps some people could bring some croissant or similar for Sunday morning breakfast, and I'm planning to just do a buffet type thing for the Saturday night so if everybody were to bring something for that, plus something to drink, that would be great. Cakes also gratefully received!! Does that sound sensible?
Couperwife
Very sensible is this the only sensible thing about the weekend ??

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Give me something flatpack to bring - I'm on public transport with a tent, so I fear a cream cake would not travel well!
Omletina Kyckling
Well folks, I can't believe it but we are just 7 days away from Omletstock, the craft weekend extravaganza!! If there is anybody else who'd like to come along, you are most welcome. We still have room (well sofa and or/floor or tent space!!) The more, the merrier! laurmurf
I'm digging out my long neglected box of knitting needles, embroidery, crewel work..... etc. I am going to be so ashamed to show you all the near-misses and near-finishes but in the spirit of Omletstock, I intend to bare all! Chook n Boo Mum
Omletina, I think I'm going to have to step away from this Omletstock gathering with great regret, as my step son isn't being overly forthcoming with the info for his rowing competition, and we can't get dog & chook sitters next weekend as everyone else is away or leaving for foreign climes, therefore one of us is going to have to stay home with the creatures. Although I put my hand up for a "day/weekend-out pass" first, as usual it will be me stepping down & handing the pass over to DH Have a wonderful weekend everyone........I'll be thinking of you Sha x
The Dogmother
Diane, could you PM me your address? I've told Phil that we can pop in on the way back from Silverstone.
Lesley
I was hoping to pop in on the Sunday - but it clashes with an apiary meeting.........and given the current goings-on I may have to decide nearer the time........
Omletina Kyckling
I've just sent a PM to those who I'm expecting at the craft weekend next weekend! If you are hoping to come and haven't heard from me, please let me know and I'll send you some address details etc!
Janty
It looks like I can come...it will be a good excuse to get away from it all to be honest. Anyone from East Anglia want a lift? I am bringing knitting stuff, etc. I think! Jan
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Did we ascertain who can do what and who wants to learn what? I can knit badly and sew. Does anyone want me to attempt to teach them anything specific from my handicrafts posts on here? I will bring my amigurumi (Japanese) crochet book if anyone fancies a bit of self-teaching that. I am interested in learning how to knit in the round on round needles (quite fancy trying to knit a beret). I am also interested in being taught how to crochet if anyone can do that. I'll be bringing my long plain-knit ongoing scarf to knit if there are no round knitters or crocheters. edit: plain not pain-knit Edited August 10, 2009 by Guest
Janty
I can crochet. I have sock patterns to have a go at but I have never tried it. I am going to bring my glove patterns, etc. I have photocopied most of my patterns in case anybody fancies having a go at something. I have a nice crocheted door handle cover in the shape of a spider for those doing the Halloween swap. I also have some funky tea cosy patterns. On my list (from pms and this topic) I have people who can knit, crochet, do sock knitting, hand sewing, card making and make jewellery and some have said they'd like to learn to crochet, felt and needle felt. I have the bits for felting and needle felting. I also have a spinning wheel if anybody wants a go, and I have a sewing machine, some fabric paints, lots of s"Ooops, word censored!"s of fabric, paints, brushes, painting books.......
