I collected Nancy, Gerty & Floss this afternnon from Adele at Haslingden. On arrival home, I gave them all a good dousing in red mite powder and popped them straight into their temporary residence. They are in good condition, although a little bewildered after what must have been a stressful day. Tomorrow we are going to dismantle the eglu run - of which only half has been erected anyway - and rig up a net partition to split Hensington Palace temporarily in half. This will allow the new girls to have more space to roam, and a longer stretch of socialising space along the base of the net, to get to know the resident girls. I sprinkled some corn & mealworms either side this evening and the new girls soon cottoned on - they scoffed the lot on their side after watching the Wernlas girls hoover up on theirs

Ahh arent they gorgeous... it makes such a difference having other normal chooks for them to learn from doesnt it. hope they are as much fun as mine. Do you know if Adele had any spares? Mine came from her.

Hi blackgold, I don't know if there were any spares - suspect they may have been, I was told they had rehome 319 girls yesterday - but I believe there is another rescue next weekend so if you are fancying some more ....
