We did not want to get the 'never received your forms' excuse. The guy he spoke to checked his tax code and said we had already had it - and sent us a letter to show how they worked out his tax code for that year. And a hefty chunk it was too (£1200) I guess it means that we didn't get that much at the time so they did owe us but to be honest we might never have known so it was a lovely break.
