It's a friends birthday tomorrow so I made her these as I'm on a bit of a tight budget this month :D

 

 

some yummy scrummy fairy cakes

 

 

all wrapped up in pretty tissue paper

 

 

and finished off with a cupcake badge Hope she likes them

Last year I started to make all my pressies (mainly foodie things) and I have to say I thoroughly enjoy it :D Much better than giving some mass produced commercial thing

 

It started as a result of having to tighten the purse strings and there were one or two friends who I thought wouldn't appreciate a homemade gift but I have to say, apart from one , everyone has been thrilled and keep checking with me that I will be making their future pressies :D

the boxes are from ebay - standard white cake box, they come in lots of different sizes

 

The ribbon comes from - http://www.creativeribbon.co.uk - they print it to order, lots of colours and fonts, is a bit pricey but gets cheaper the more you order and not that much more than some of the gift ribbons that are on the market at the mo :D

It'll be for allcomers Sha - the Omlet Summer Chicken Jamboree... I've been dropping tasters, just need to get our heads together to get a date settled.

 

It will be a cross between a Hen Party and a village fete with pony rides, hog roast, local produce stalls, cakes etc. All at the Omlet Retail Centre at Jude's yard. I will post details as soon as we've got it together; Omlet are hoping to have lots of stock there too, so that people can get an eglu or cube on the day.
