Janty
Does Lily Allen drive anybody else to distraction? If I hear 'The Fear' one more time my head might explode. That awful affected howl the she calls singing is abominable. There are others doing exactly what she does but better and she is so far up herself it must hurt. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! That's better....her 'song' has just been on the radio for the umpteenth time this morning.
chelsea
Strangely enough I think the Fear is her best song...I like the words. I wouldnt buy her records but they get my feet tapping. I have the same hate you have for lily Allen for Kate Nash...dreadful singer she is.. well you cant call it singing really.
Cinnamon
I cannot bear her either, but I quite like 'The fear' What I hate about her is the way that she sings with the most awful dropping of letters & poor pronounciation - it drives me mad & sets a really bad example. I don't care for her public image much either.
Cooks
My dad used to hate hate hate Cleo Lane (Jazz singer?? is that her name, I hope so) when I was little so much so if she came on he would go into a bad mood.. A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Like the song, but a girl who got her education at Bedales can't possibly be street, common, working class or whatever else she tries to sell herself as no matter who her father is. I feel really sorry for her because she seems so conflicted between trying to be a little girl, a messed up teen and a know-it-all grown up. And I do wish the papers would stop featuring her snogging men in their 40s. I don't think it's a meeting of minds in her case as much as an absent father syndrome. She is quite annoying as a 'personality'. But more fool me for reading about her. Janty have you tried listening to Classic FM as an antidote? Alis girls
My husband likes Duffy who I cant abide. Her gravelly voice reminds me of Bonnie Tyler and Rod Stewart. My 13 yr old agrees with me. Lily sings appalingly but I'm a sad cow as I find myself singing along without being aware of it We have Capital Radio on during school run and so I can name a few artists much to the kids friends amazement. I do get told off for singing loudly to songs by both kids

rachel19
I love lily allen - I have her albums and love the new one. The fear is one of my favourite songs at the moment and one of her best i think - pretty much sums up fame seekers these days!
Janty
Scott Mills on Radio 1 introduced this song as Lily Allen's latest to listeners and people actually rang in to say it was her best yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwquInGlZFQ Just about sums it up really. chickencam
I like some of her stuff, some clever funny lyrics, but some of it is offensive and she can't perform live to save her life. OH likes her thinks she's cute. She is a pretty mixed up individual
chelsea
Just reviving this thread. Has anyone seen her new video for the song "Not Fair". it has loads of chicken action in it!!!! And after a bottle of cheap wine the song aint bad either!
Janty
Only one bottle? That's unfair really as I haven't heard it...will try to endure that later.
Rhapsody
I would have to be strapped to a chair Clockwork Orange style. Is the new song the one about how unskilled in certain departments her boyfriend is? Classy as ever Lily...
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
The song sounds like it's been written by a five year old. Without slick production values, it would be unbearable. With them, I'd say a bottle of tequila is needed. There is some hot maran action at the start though. I hope the chooks weren't traumatised by having to hang out with her. Scramble
I honestly do find her arrogant and annoying ..but I like her music.. I leave now
Snowy
I find her tunes quite catchy, although would never buy them. But this latest one Nothing in it to attract the attention of the censors, but a bit in yer face lewd. Probably me being a bit prudish, but I don't like listening to it
Snowy
It's not swear words that bother me, just the sentiments - nasty Don't think I'll bother getting the album though [/color]
Egluntyne
She's a vulgar talentless scrubber.
