I'm worried sick. Saturday update

Recommended Posts

You would be amazed at the improvement today. He is disconnected from all his tubes apart from the bag and is walking around etc etc. He's having a few things to eat and he really fancies some cake to go with his coffee, so I am just making him a sponge made with the girls eggs of course.

Anyway things are looking good at the moment.

He might be coming out tomorrow (Thursday). When we arrived today he was actually walking down te corridor to meet us. It's been quite amazing really I think that proves that other than what has been wrong with him recently he is basically pretty fit for his age.

He's coping very well and he says he's lost his fear of hospitals now!!

Thanks all

Thanks everyone It is quite miraculous. We just have to keep our fingers crossed for the pathology results but I feel sure that if there was anything sinister lurking he would not have made this quick recovery. The consultant was the top man in Berkshire so I find that very reassuring aswell.

My brother is at my Mum's now, I collected him Thursday evening.

He has aged so much in the las few monhs. He was talking to me today and said he wanted to talk to me about his will and I burst into tears.

He showed me some papers fom the hospital yesterday and it is part of his colon they have removed NOT his small intestine which has made me uneasy all over again.

I'm feeling very stressed.

Please don't worry that he wants to sort out a will. More people should do it sooner rather than later. It isn't something that should be left until old age and it's only natural to think about it after a health scare. Making a will isn't morbid or an indication that someone is giving up on life. It's just being sensible and is something that everyone should do asap.

And if you want any shoulders to cry on, remember we are all here for you.
