Hendy
I've just finished building my chickens an extension to their home! The right hand portion was added on today and means that the chickens are no longer going to be allowed to free range around the garden Unfortunately the amount of chicken poo around became too much to allow the kids out. I'm quite proud of my DIY efforts! Cost less than £40 for all the materials. Both outdoor sections have corrugated plastic roofs.

Ain't Nobody Here
That looks great, Hendy . I certainly couldn't tell it was "home-made" .
Hendy
I certainly couldn't tell it was "home-made" . Thanks - only the right hand run is home made, the rest was from pads4pets.

One_Box
Well done I'm sure your chooks will appreciate the extra space. I think building your own kit gives a lot of satisfaction. When OH owned an ark for her bantams, I built an extension which not only saved lots of money but also had improvements over its commercial counterpart. Most of all, building it was good fun

stoice
Hendy - where did you get your stepping stones? They're just what I'm looking for. All the usual DIY store near me don't have any round pavers or wood effect ones and I thought it'd save my lawn from more punishment from me trampling it

I'm worried that crossing our new lawn to our soon-to-be vegetable patch will wreck it .
Seagazer
Well done, you did a good job
Hendy
The stepping stones were from my local garden centre, either Ayletts or Burston, not sure which. They are just concrete stones made to look like tree trunk segments. Do the job well though.
