Mutrix Farmers
Just gazing out of the office window to see what's going on in the park opposite and spotted a lady with something on a lead. "That's a strange dog" thought I but on closer inspection, it's a LIZARD!!! Nose to tail it must be 2 feet long!!!!! It's refusing to move now so she's just picked it up. Anyone else seen anything strange on a lead?
Old Speckled Hen
A friend walks her ferrets on leads. I once took my husband to a party on a lead Does that count?
craftyhunnypie
Oh my god, I don't like those iguana things! I've seen cats on leads when the owners are training them to the big outdoors - that's acceptable. Perhaps we could walk our chooks down the high street? Gamebird
When I was about 7 years old I was desperate to have a dog. On windy days I would attached a lead to a large paper bag and take it for a walk. I didn't notice the funny looks - I was too busy making sure my 'dog' behaved himself as 'he' flew about. My parents did eventually buy me a dog before I went completely bonkers.
Karen & co.
We took a cade lamb out once on a lead, she was too young to leave at home so we took bottles of milk, and went out to the beach to meet up with friends so many people thought she was a poodle until she had the bottle Karen x

little chickadee
There's normally a couple of ferrets being walked on a lead at a festival I go to (My greyhound would really really like to eat them!) I once took a lamb for a walk on a lead. My best friend had it living in her garden for some reason and she met me after Saturday morning music school with Billy the Lamb. Got some very very funny looks!

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Gamebird that's so sweet! I've seen several lizards and iguanas being taken for a walk in New York. Amazing that everything on a lead there is so tiny (to fit in their cupboard-sized apartments). You'd think they'd get squashed underfoot (they nearly do). The funniest thing I saw with the New York dog walking thing was this lady who had a mini dog (a chihuahua or something equally microscopic) and wanted to take it in a cab. The cab driver was refusing to take the dog unless it was in a container of some sort. They were having a massive row about it in the street. She had a big paper grocery bag and was going 'If I put the dawwwg IN da baaaag, you'll take the dawwwg?' in this very annoyed Bronx drawl. It was hilarious. He WAS happy to take the dog in the cab in the bag. Talk about loopy! As if a paper bag is a secure container. New Yorkers are strange. Lovely, but strange. dancing cloud
Being raised in the country, we used to see a sheep on a lead accompanying the two dogs for a walk. It had been orphaned and hand-reared, and one of the dogs had adopted it as a surrogate puppy so it thought it was a dog . They went for a walk, it went for a walk - never saw it play fetch though
