bluekarin
I think she looks terrible and her skin doesn't look very good. Why does she think she looks good this thin?

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Poor Victoria. I get the impression she's a really lovely, sparky but very insecure lass in private. It's a shame we only ever get to see the 2-D representation of her as a sour-faced clothes horse. I would hate to live like that, scrutinised at every turn, through my own making or not. Imagine having that many control issues that the only way you think you can work with the media is to present the image of some ghost of yourself, starved to fit a stupid 'ideal'. Our media is so unhealthy! I wouldn't swap lives for double her money.

Egluntyne
Darn it! Tea everywhere! I should know better by now than to click onto one of Claret's links whilst sipping tea. You are right. The likeness is uncanny. The beauty in the second picture has a better complexion.
The Dogmother
Nasal enema? Rosie took one look at the picture of VB and said 'Yeuch, chicken and mushroom soup skin'!!!! I feel quite sorry for VB, her insecurities make her easy prey for the press and other blood-suckers.

Helly Welly
I read her autobiography, i know shameful, and she does come across as a nice person. It can't be easy being scrutinised as much as she is, her shoes should not make news!! But she does bring a lot of it on herself. Her skin might look better if she didn't put the foundation on with a spatula. She needs to eat more and be comfortable with herself, but i guess that isn't easy for anybody, me included. clootie
Surely it's up to her what she looks like just as it is up to us how we wish to present ourselves. Live and live is my motto. Shame she's made fun of really.

Cinnamon
I don't think there is any arguing with the fact that she it way too thin & this body shape sets a bad example to young people who may admire her. She could also crack a smile occasionally If I had her money & a hubby who looked like David I don't think I could wipe the grin off my face

Cate in NZ
I have very little interest in Mrs Beckham, and fortunately the media over here seem to have a lot less of a celebrity obsession than in the UK, so there's very little reporting about her...which suits me just fine, most so-called celebrities interest me less than a bar of soap. However I feel uncomfortable with too much criticism of her, I simply don't know her circumstances, and really, live & let live surely . She's just another woman who is trying to do her best to live her life her way, to bring up her children and to support her children. Good luck to her, I hope that she's happy & healthy, and I do wish that the media would leave her in peace, maybe take some pressure off. As an aside I was under a lot of stress a few years back and my reaction to stress is for my weight to plummet....I lost 2 stone without trying and looked dreadful. Maybe VB is similar and when stressed she drops her weight too . Even over here there's been gossip about David having affairs, and all that travelling they're doing from LA to Milan and wherever. So, I don't know, but I just think give the poor woman a break, it must be dreadful to have criticism about you every where you turn, leave the media to cast the poisonous aspersions because they sure as heck aren't going to stop their nasty comments, and if we can't find anything good to say about her then maybe we should just keep schtum I take the comment about role models Sarah, but if she looks so much like a scrawny chicken then why would anyone want to look like her? Are we really berating her to protect our children? Sorry, but I'm not sure that I buy that. And if we're looking at body image why does VB come in for so much flak and not, for example, Dawn French ?

As the Mum of a skinny 14 year old, barely a size 8, who thinks that she is fat & wants to fit in size 0 jeans, then I can tell you that slender celebs like VB are looked upon with reverment by todays teen girls - sad, but true. I also think its very telling that VB's own clothes brand only goes up to a size 12 I remember that famous quote - 'You can never be too rich, or too thin'....how appropriate that is in Victorias case. I think fuller figured celebs get their own brand of flak, but no teen girl is going to pig out to make herself look like Dawn French when the norm is seen as super slim.
