My daughter gave me wangy toast in bed this morning though (she forgets to use a toast rack and piles the hot toast on top each other flat on the plate!

 

Had a really lovely card from my son with beautiful neat writing on from school . He finds writing really hard, so that was really special

We WERE going out for lunch but hubby's just had a shout for mountain rescue

I'm bunny bonding and so far its all going well

DD2 is cooking dinner tonight and DD1 should hopefully be coming to visit tonight when she finishes work.

I got a subscription to Practical Poultry!!! (the hints worked this time... )

 

OH is also getting some Indian takeaway for lunch and I'm helping the boys to build a dreadfully complicated Lego model I got for my OS's birthday (yesterday).

 

Bloomers is moulting and looks like a vulture, plus I've seen a lot of red feathers lying around so I guess Roigeta and Ginger will show signs of nakedness soon enough too, so I've spent a little while in the garden with them and treated them to a bowl of tuna and sweetcorn. It's lovely outside today.

 

YS suggested to get me a new hen for Mother's day and I want to plant some herbs in the garden so might be visiting Towcester garden centre later on... (fingers crossed).

Happy Mothers Day all my fellow Omleteers Today (BC=before coffee) I signed on here to get my morning fix and read that it was Mothers Day so I texted all my friends a nice Happy Mothers Day Greeting and then relized that Mothers Day doesn't take place here in the States until 10May.

Dont worry they will think they are doubly special this year and therefore can celebrate it twice!!!

 

I persuaded the OH to take me for a drive as after 5 days insdie i was going quite stir crazy, im now at home again under the duvet!

I am flying back from Boston later this evening, on what has been a very short, but wonderful visit (only came out on Friday for the weekend!)

Fetched my rescue chickens this morning whilst Andy made a start on the WIR

 

Andy now doing a huge pile of ironing and then he is cooking supper

Took kids to rugby match, washed dirty kit and hung it out, supervised homework, cooked lunch, school clothes still to iron .

 

OH has been sent to Belgium with work and our kids are not old enough to do these things themselves yet. I think I will have to have an 'un-mothers day' some other time!

 

Two lovely homemade cards though, one from each boy, with bestest writing inside, and we plan to light the fire later and snuggle in front of a film together. I'm looking forward to that bit!

Well I called at mums last night.

I haven't got children, so I'm just a chicken mummy. I had some lovely oval things off them - wot nice prezzies oh & a lot of poos.

I having been running around after kids and husband, washing, cooking, cleaning and cleaned and tidied the cube and run and now dinner is on.

 

I got some lovely handmade cards and flowers.

Same here. My boys always make me the most unique cards and this year they brought me to tears as they'd written the loveliest things inside their cards, bless them. Teenage boys can still say the sweetest things to their Mum . We've been to Avebury for the day to see the stones and had a smashing time .

I am just up after a post Strada blowout nap....there was a free glass of Champers for Mums & daytime drinking just zonks me out.

 

We didn't go to the river, but had a mooch through the french market which was in town instead, & bought some lovely pink garlic

Another lovely day here - started in church, the children all sang a lovely song for mothers. They all did it so well, singing really clearly, brought tears to my eyes! Got some gorgeous flowers, an Annie Lennox CD and a box of choccies. Then OH finished my greenhouse and cooked tea! What a star! (he's crashed now though )
