Anyone else noticed the resemblance?

Bless her, the good old British Press always publish the least flattering photos, don't they  . We can't all be young and beautiful and no matter how much we fight it, we all get old. Beauty is on the inside.

She looks shocking.

Its only her and Terry Wogan that gets me listening to Radio 2 in the morning - when they are off I switch over. Similarly with Chris Evans and much as I love Wossy - afraid he lost a listener the day I found out Chris Tarrant was on Smooth FM at the same time..

Hobart Tazmania thats my wonderful townn :whistle:

LOL! OMG! It's uncanny :)

Mind you i was on a course today with two of my colleagues. We're not "Ooops, word censored!" honest.... but there was a woman sitting on reception with a black bee-hive hair due.... and i told them i had just seen Amy Winehouse, so being daft as they are they had to go and look. And one of them Janet homed in on one poor bloke on the course (but he too had an excellent sense of humour), and almost made him believe he was Rolf Harris with his dark hair, beard and glasses :) Daft cow :) Asking him to paint her portrait, and wanting Jigereedoo lessons etc.

Crikey, what a shock! The years and the ravages of the sun haven't been kind have they? I'm mixing factor 30 with my moisturiser from now on!!

Mate, i've decided to only go out after dark.

Sorry guys, I'm sure that one day I will finally learn to keep my trap shut, but threads like this astound me :( . This is such a lovely forum, and everyone is usually so supportive of each other and generally so very, very kind. So why is poor Sarah Kennedy being lampooned like this. I don't actually know the lady from Adam, took me ages to work out who she was, but quite clearly a radio presenter from your comments, and I'm pretty certain I remember her from some daft TV programme years back with Matthew Kelly & another Mr Kelly who's now a presenter on a classical radio station :? . Anyway, whilst I very much doubt that the good lady has got the slightest interest in this forum and is highly unlikely to read this thread, but just how hurtful are some of those comments....and how unnecessary :? Just what has she done to spark this little outburst :?

Heaven knows I'm no oil painting, and if I got a photographer with a decent camera out to take an unflattering picture of me I have absolutely no doubt that they would succeed, problem is I'd probably end up looking like some complete nonentity such a Fozzie Bear rather than a famous, cute film star like ET.

I think anyone can be made to look good or bad in a photo it depends on the aim of the photographer :(

Perhaps it is also that we never get to see 'famous' people age naturally? Practically everyone men also have had some degree of peel, injection or lift, it's actually refreshing to see someone who hasn't

I bet if the brief of the artical was to make her look happy and well then the same photographer could have done that too.

Too true Karen, and if they put themselves in the spotlight, then they have to be prepared to accept all that goes with it.

I don't think that any of the comparisons on this forum have been made unkindly, and you only have to look at the feedback about her on the radio 2 page to see some rather nasty and un-necessary comments. I'm not a fan myself, but a lot of people are and that's just the way it goes in the laa-laa land of fame  .

I agree with Kate and Cate. I don't like people's flaws being made fun of, it makes me feel uncomfortable.

I used to get called ET at school (amongst other things) because I have VERY long, thin fingers and it was hurtful. A work colleague a few years ago even made the comparison. ET might be very cute but it's a bit of a shock when someone compares you to him!

It just doesn't sit right with me when people are put up for ridicule, famous or not.

 How could you call Fozzie Bear a non-entity Cate! How hurtful, I hope he doesn't read this....:lol:

Seriously, it's very endearing that you defend those who are not present to speak for themselves.

Humour and bullying is a fine line, but laughing at others is deep in our culture, along with laughing at ourselves. That doesn't make it right, & I'd step in if someone was bullied, but a little joke & a chuckle over a picture, sometimes we just need to laugh & move on, or even not laugh but move on?

Name calling can be powerful & undermining, so I do agree with Cate's sentiments in general, but I think the topic here is relatively harmless.

I was called FishFace but took it as a compliment..

Yours, a Fozzie bear fan, who is very unphotogenic... :)
