Omletina Kyckling
They're here!! They're here!! I went to a great place, near Sharnbrook, north of Bedford called Northend Hens - it's a small operation but Linda who is there is great, she knows her stuff and examined any hens I picked out very thoroughly (she put one girl back as she noticed a slight nick on her foot and said she wasn't happy to sell her until she'd sprayed some stuff on and monitored her) PLUS her hens are a great price (most hybrids at £10 and the columbines at £15 (she hasn't any columbines and won't have any until June, however) - she has her hybrids in a stable like building, but they have access to a huge field outside and can free range so will be used to normal chickeny things! If you're interested in the place, this is their website http://northendhens.co.uk/new_page_1.htm Anyway, I dragged hubby along and we went to look and came home with....wait for it... Charlotta the bluebelle Pia the coral nick and Stina the speckledy We had a fun journey back as we went in our old 911 and they were in a large cat carrier on the back seat. It's not the quietest car and it does move around a bit on roundabouts (more so when hubby is driving ) Once home, we put them in the Eglu run and let them get settled and they seem to be making themselves feel right at home..... I'll update on progress in the coming days! Now I have to go and watch them again!

Website has been added to my favourites I have had my bluebelle and Amber Star for eleven days and the bluebelle ate from my hand for the first time today! I nearly got a Speckledy but Cookie Monster stayed strong and made sure I only came away with two as planned.
