No doubt about Anton being a cockerel, he even has the cutest little wattles, but you can only barely see them in the pictures.

I keep looking at my Barnvelder and thinking she is standing rather tall and have my doubts - but I did wait for them until Wernlas felt they were old enough to sex them and I am sure they are far my experienced than I.

they are gorgeous, I was away when they hatched and I couldnt find this thread (I knew it would be on here somewhere ) fingers crossed for one girl.

It was around 4/5 weeks that I could tell my Light Sussex apart. The girls don't have combs while the boys do so even though her stance was a bit manly I'd say Claudia is a girl. Mine feathered up at the same rate and I was sure they were all boys. There really was nothing differing them from one another apart from their combs and at ten weeks it's still the same, although Forest, my boy, has got a bit bigger than his two sisters this week. Forest isn't a very inyerface typical boy because of the two Leghorn boys they're in with who run around the place like a pair of hooligans

Claudia started feathering up much earlier than Anton, and has barely any comb to speak of. Also, the wing feathering when they were newly hatched suggested that he was a chap and she a girl. I remain hopeful.
