Tessa the Duchess
I know this should be in My Family and Other Animals, but can I crave the moderators indulgence as I so want to show her off Introducing........ http://www.mayhewanimalhome.org/adoptmeetandcare/dog/tilly1/index.php She is gorgeous, our household is bursting with excitement. We have to have a home check and she will be speyed next week, so if all goes well we can have her the weekend after Easter. Interestingly the Mayhew rescue centre have quite a few feral cats that they could never rehome, they are all kept in a huge garden area and they sleep in Eglus with the roosting bars removed. I have Cyberchook to thank for us finding our beautiful new dog as she alerted me to the Mayhew centre this morning. Tessa

Tessa the Duchess
Have you decided on a name yet ? Her current name is Tilly but I'm not sure that she is aware that it is her name, she is just a bundle of energy and happiness, she weed on DH in her excitement at being let out of her prison One of our past dogs was called Tilly and I am not sure about having a different dog with this name, we are all thinking of a name which sort of sounds like Tilly, Milly, Billie, Silly Any suggestions gratefully received. And yes the waiting is torture Poet, we are going back tomorrow to visit her, we have been told we can pick her up and take her home with us, but until she is released, we have to have her back in the home by curfew time which is 5.00pm, probably do this next week. Olly
Oh, congratulations - she looks gorgeous. Dilly? Milly? or perhaps Lily, as it's Easter!! I do know what you mean about not using a name that you've had before in the family. She'll probably get used to a new name quite quickly anyway. Bet you can't wait. Our Collie Flash did, he was named Dash by my ageing Grandma - and his litter sister was Dot....you can imagine the morse code that rang out over Bodmin Moor when they decided to do their own thing in the garden!!!
