clootie
Just back from a lovely day to Framlingham Castle then on to the coast in Southwold only to return to see my old maiden aunt chook Becky keeled over and stiff as a board on the lawn. She had a good innings, had her for the past 7 years and I didn't even know how old she was when I got her so she could have been a year or so older than that. She had stopped laying ages ago but was enjoying her free ranging life with her old buddy Marge who is now wandering around looking for her. Oh dear - don't know what to do as we are still in a pickle over whether we are selling up in the summer or not and therefore won't know where we'll be. Poor old Bex. clootie
Thanks everyone. Poor old Marge on her ownio in the chicken house now. Funny, Marge was the one who was bullied terribly by all the others and was badly hurt, ironic that she's the last chook standing !! Hasn't quashed her appetite though, pecking at the back door for grapes earlier - short memory or what?

Rona
I'm sorry to hear about Becky, poor old Marge must feel lonely without her. Or does she? Everyone said Sasha would miss George but she seems to be much happier on her own now - but maybe it is different for cats.

What a great life you have given her, in time I hope that will be a good feeling. I am sorry for your loss. Best wishes.
