Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

My sister seems to be coping fine. She is really looking forward to the mental maths today. I don't think the school is putting much pressure on them from what she has told me. She likes not having to go to assemblies in the morning and really enjoys doing fun stuff in the afternoons like extra P.E. On Friday my sister's best friend's mum has said all the girls from year 6 can go to their house after school which will be nice for them all. Espeically as next year they are all going to different high schools.

Rosie's teacher has organised a picnic for Friday for all the y6 students. The school are providing all the food etc. She is delighted.

 

Doesn't seem unduly bothered about the maths today, so that's good.

My YD's primary school have a party for them when they have finished their SAT's, they have party food and loads of soft drinks that they are encouraged to turn into cocktails. My son has been making strange sugary concoctions ever since

 

The rest of year 6 is a doddle they do loads of fun stuff and stage a big play near the end of term the week before they all clear of to PGL for a week. Katie can't wait for her send off next year

my son did tell me he had one question about a cake and if you cut it in half and lookes in, what are the holes called... he said well that stumped me, you make the cakes mum!

Was walking around peering over what some of the children in my school were writing during this test and somebody replied that in the holes were..... currants.

I hope there weren't any SATS scheduled for this afternoon, as Eth's school had a fire alarm ( set off accidentaly by builders in school, not a practise) sometime after lunch time

All the SATs have to be done in the morning. DD was looking forward to her maths today, they're having a DVD and party food tomorrow afternoon to celebrate!

well my son REALLY enjoyed today, he loves maths with a passion so he's looking forward to tomorrow as well.

My daughter is in the middle of SATs. Every day i ask how they went and the answer I get every day is 'fine'. So I guess she's not worried!!

Yay its the last day. My son is going to a sleep over at his friend's house down the road to celebrate the end of the tests

 

He's been ok this week but I think he'll be happy they're over.

my son's cough and sore throat are out in full force today, ualthough I have said ring me if he needs to come home after the exam.

Well YS is home and happy that the tests are finished. School let them play outside for about an hour and a half, they could play on the jungle gym to their hearts content and they had cola, lemonade and crisps as a treat

Glad they are finished I went in this afternoon to teach Sarah and her class mates the start of the SafeCycling course, boy were they hyper

 

Still got ED doing year 10 GCSE modules and ES doing AS levels

well my son got his results today, he wasn't expected to do great in Literacy and they were aiming for a 3 for him.. he got a 4 and then he got a 5 for maths and the rest 4's, I am so proud of him!

Brilliant, well done to your son - we haven't got ours yet.

 

We got YS's school report last week (with a lovely message from the retiring headteacher along the lines of "I have known you since you were born Jack, I wish you every happiness in your life's journey" tears welled up in my eyes, I've been trudging back and forwards there for 12 1/2 years ) but it said that our SAT's results have been delayed.
