Very early this morning well just as the hens got up sunshine, at breakfast it was damp at 10 a.m it was raining with strong winds for about 1 hour, then blue sky then sun then it repeated itself all over again in the afternoon. Lovely weather last week while we were in Devon, not too bad when we got back either. Brilliant yesterday for Phil's 4x4 extreme thingy at Silverstone. The bracken is turning and there is only the odd swallow left chittering in the sky. Blackberries are everywhere and the sloes are coming along nicely. Picked some field mushrooms, some blewits and a basketful of ceps this morning with the dog. Showers and sun. How many days till Christmas ?
