Alis girls
had my pre-admission assesment today at hospital in prep for op in 2weeks and as its a gynae op i was sitting in clinic with lots of pregnant ladies (and a few not pregnant) when the lady next to me said "how many weeks?" I was mortified, I hrmped and said " none I'm not pregnant" so she replied that I must be waiting for someone. I'm afraid I didnt correct her. I will say because its hot I am wearing a strappy top that fits tight round the boobs and falls loosely and doesnt really billow out. I s'pose at 47 I should be flattered I still look young enough to bear a child but then remember the oldest mum in UK is 66 albeit with a bit of help I'm not grossly overweight 5ft 9and a bit and a size 14 but have a few ok a lot of wobbly bits like any woman whos had babinos. Oh well better leave the biccies alone
chooklady
Oh dear, I'm 45 and these last few days I've been thinking I really should try and shed a bit of weght, I'm 5' 4" and a 16. My brain always tells me I'm alright, well it lies. It's those moments you catch sight of youself or someone takes a photo when you are not prepared. Valkyrie
I always thought I was fat when I wasn't - now I am really and truly grossly overweight ("rubbish" says mum, followed by "you shouldn't eat that you know"), but basically happier - it's all the food I eat to get those feel good endorphins going (or should that be mighty morphins?). Olly
True story - my friend (and this really did happen to a friend, it wasn't me) was packing her shopping into the bags in a supermarket when the checkout assistant said to her 'so when's it due, love?'. She was so mortified that instead of saying 'I'm not pregnant' or 'I had a baby three months ago', she spluttered 'er, in June' and scuttled out of the shop. She had to shop at another supermarket for the next six months in case the assistant spotted her and asked whether she'd had a boy or a girl ... ChrisP
I wore a pregnancy top to the gym once (didn't realise it was a pregnancy top until I'd bought it, but still quite liked it!) and was asked if I would like to 'participate' in a workout class for expectant mothers! I'm 17, wouldn't say overweight (size 10), and went replied saying I would love to, when I was an expectant mother! The look on their faces... Clash City Rocker
You know its time to lose weight when.......... You're favourite suit feels a bit "snug" and you want to wear it on 19th June !!!!! Went to my GP's Nurse (mate of mine) a fortnight ago and she's got me healthy eating, boozing less and cycling daily, with a weekly "weigh in". I've lost 8lbs over 2 weeks (including 3 days unsupervised at a music festival ). Aim to lose a stone over 5 weeks.
kitbag
You know it's time to lose weight when you break your prom dress! I was trying it on, and one of the poppers at the back came off ! Needless to say I have been working hard to try and lose weight!

Rhapsody
Actually it was one of these moments that has lead me to shift 3 stone+ I was on my precious 1 week of holiday last year and Elder Son asked me if I wanted to go sailing with him, I realised I hadn't packed any water shorts (and those dingys dont half scratch your butt in just a cossie) so I went to the hotel shop to buy some. I couldn't fit into a single pair of ladies shorts in the shop Didn't go sailing, went back to my sunbed and cried behind my sunglasses. Came back home and enrolled in WW. This year I will be wearing my gorgeous Bravissimo bikini and size 10 shorts!
