hilda-and-evadne
If any of you are the praying type, I would love it if you could spare a thought or prayer for my newborn nephew, Micah. He is on life support and could use all the prayers he can get. Remembering him and his parents in my prayers. (I recognise a name, there - I am kittiwake@cix.) chickencam
Best wishes to Micah and all the family. my little nephew was in hospital for a few days not long after his birth, he was only having a few feeding problems but it does give me an insight into how worried you all are. I am summoning up as many positive vibes as I can for him.
Oh Carolina
Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers. It has been so inspiring that people I have never met can care so much. It has helped me and my family enormously that so many people care and your messages really keep us going. Just to let you all know, Micah has been taken off life support, off oxygen and will be given his Mummy's milk today (via tube)! I will keep you updated but should you want to see the updates online, you can go to link: http://www.grahamcluley.com/micah.html

Oh Carolina
An update for anyone who would like to know: Micah is now out of the Intensive Care Unit at the JR Hospital. He has been moved to the Special Care Unit, and even had lunch direct from his Mummy (no tube!), although tube also in use. I am so relieved and happy. This time (pretty much exactly) last week, we were waiting for him to die and he is not only still here with us, he is doing so very very well. My sister (Mum) came home yesterday, after being with Micah in the hospital, which is good but must really suck for her to not bring your baby home with you. But she is being strong and grateful that her newborn son is alive. You are all so amazing, and thanks so much for all your comments and thoughts and prayers. It has been truly amazing for us xxx
