The Dogmother
Oh Paola, that's priceless; you must've been crying with laughter! Reminds me of when we visited the outlaws once at the farm, they have a lovely picture of the children, and in it Phil has a shock of beautiful blond ringlets, Rosie was asking Jean who each of the people in the picture were, and she said 'but that can't be Phil - he's got hair in the photo!'. We were in stitches cos he's bald as a coot now
Lesley
and it reminds me of when I married Carl.... I have a photo of my (grown up) son and daughter taken on the day - Lauren and Jake insist that "that is when Mummy married Brad"

theherd123
We are getting a small 'laugh-a-lot diary' in school & putting things in it like this so when we are having a rough day (like today ) we can read the contents and giggle like mad!!! Egluntyne
When my daughter was about 5 we were at a family wedding at a catholic church, which had a huge statue of the Sacred Heart. As we were waiting for the bride to arrive, Daughter said at the top of her voice....Oh look, Mummy....poor Jesus has had a heart transplant! It brought the house down. Paola
This thread always brings tears to my eyes OH was in the car with the two girls when our eldest spotted the Miss Potter film poster. She turned to OH and said "I thought Harry's mum is dead"

Snowy
Had to share this one: At church this morning, the children's talk involved Minister pulling various tools out of a bag and asking the children to name them. First item out, correctly identified as a wall paper stripper; second item - another correct answer, a tape measure. Third item out - brief silence, than a little girl, at the top of her voice, correctly identified it - 'it's a thingammyjig'. Brought the house down! (It was a hand drill by the way)
Looney
aha, the thingammyjig...we have one of those - mustn't be confused with the oojamaflip or the watchamacallit!
