Guest
This is a nice idea for a thread, Martin - thanks!! aside from the "art" wall... kitchen - given over to family pics - we had some gorgeous professional photos done a couple of years ago. One wall has immediate family, another wall has wider family - parents - cousins - siblings etc... sitting room - given over the missus's pre-raphaelite collection (gorgeous colours - sad-looking/dead women!) study - a huge red bus-shelter sized poster of Jesus in the style of Che Guevara Passageway - two lovely pictures by Rolfi - a Nativity and a Last Supper:

Mrs Frugal
I love the Ophelia painting, Phil! One of my favourites. I've got my favourite artist, John Waterhouse's pre-raphaelite paintings in my sitting room - Ophelia and La Belle Dame Sans Merci plus a pastel of Stamford which my Mum did and some cross stitch pictures that I stitched years ago when I had spare time!! My bedroom has a couple of my watercolour flower paintings plus a big cross stitch sampler which has our house and us stitched into it!! Tom's room is full of Star Wars posters and Ollie's got James Bond movie posters. Chickens in the kitchen !
pepe
I have quite a few paintings of Cornish scenery, some framed photos of flowers in my garden, but my newest thing is in my kitchen, its a huge wire heart with lots of family photos on it. Only trouble is I put it up in Summer, and now the radiator is on they keep curling up
The Dogmother
I have two photos (both taken by Phil) on my bedroom wall: Taken for Christmas 2005 Omlet back I don't have lots of stuff on walls, but my fridge does have a gallery of my favourite men (baldies of course - sorry Graham, you're not on there yet ). Phil has Kylie and Christina Aguilera calendars on his bedroom wall. He wants to do an illustration of me in the nude for his wall - not blooming likely

Guest
Downstairs hallway, print of the view from Hinksey Hill in Oxford, I think I have that print - Turner... I went to University in Oxford for 4 years - and I like to keep bits an pieces of places I have lived it's not currently on the wall - it's in a box of pictures for which there is not room at present (a bit like the Queen's art cellar in which she occasionally finds missing art-works worth millions... (not!) Phil
Louise
Same view just a more modern print Phil Which college did you go to I lived there for about 10 years
The Dogmother
The view's not like that any more Phil - I worked in Oxford for 6 years and I know the spot that was painted from. It's still one of my favourite cities though.

Paola
Really enjoying this thread Great pic of you and Rosie, Clare. I love her tiara Dare I ask why you had Omlet on your back? Love the Lady Of Shallot Waterhouse painting. Used to spend a lot of time at the Tate. Love the Maddox Brown pic Phil. Amazing. Great one you you and the family also. The yet to be framed painting is gorgeous Andrew. I do not have much on my walls. Lounge has a lovely black and white photo of the burnt pier in Brighton (cannot remember what it is called ), family pic taken by Venture and a big carved green wooden Budda head. The most interesting place is the downstairs loo All our family photos get hung in there. You know when you have really made it in our family when you get a framed pic in our loo Nearly forgot, I have a lovely framed pic of Battersea Power station in the hall. One Man Banned
joe got me a lovely card with a pic of battersea power station that I'm going to frame and put up in the hallway - have got loads of pictures of mini's that I want to put up in the cloakroom but it's one of them things i have never got round to doing! The Dogmother
The Omlet back thing was a dare about a year ago - long story, but we dared Graham to wear his Omlet boxers on the forum as he said that he had a better botty than Simon. He was refusing to do it, so I said that if he did, I would appear topless on the forum Anyway, he took a picture of his pants on OVER his trousers, it was online for all of 30 minutes before he took it off, I missed it. I kept my part of the bargain with this pic that Phil took. That's the story....
Guest
I've not got any pictures up on my bedroom wall - we've never decorated our bedroom since we moved here 8 years ago, and it's the most disgusting purple and green swirly wallpaper, and just nothing would look right on it. . In the living room we have a large selection of cross-stiches done by my mum - a wedding sampler, 3 birth samplers and a stitch sampler, and a lovely painting of a vase of flowers we got as a wedding present many, many moons ago. There's more cross-stitches in the hall, while the bathroom is......well...... THIS is the state of my bathroom today.....
