I have been considering something like this.

A lady up the road has a similar set up but I have what may turn out to be a dumb question....Can't the chooks get out/fox get in underneath where there seems to be a bit of a gap?

Thanks for that. I would be really grateful if you could get some pictures on to give this DIY Numbty a bit of an idea of how you have done it! Not to worry if not!

Thanks so much for that, these seem just what we need. We have built the WIR and as i wanted the largest space possible it has turned out to be such an odd shape we were having real difficulties of how we were gonna put a roof on. These seem perfect. Thank you! :D

Do you have any pictures of your run

No pictures yet, cos although we now have the sides up, we are still trying to figure out how to fix the roof  Its 5.7m long and goes from 1.9m at one end to 4.8m at the other, so not conventional shape hence the roof problem :? I just wanted as much space as poss for my chooks and left the construction to OH. now hes wishing he had put his foot down and stuck with a conventional rectangle, but thats just not good enough for my chooks!
