get another one - you can have two Joseph's fighting over the one Mary - and six kings (the Bible never said there were three...)

Phil

Maybe Joseph can be the innkeeper or a shepherd?

Lobster????:shock::shock: I never realised there was a lobster in the Christmas Story - well you learn something new every day!:lol:

Just bought another nativity set today from Oxfam - last one for the bargain price of £4.99! 8)

I think it's the funniest moment in the film. When the child looks back at his mother with a bemused look, meaning 'of course there are two lobsters! Didn't they teach you anything at school?' and then the classic 'D'uh' Absolutely hysterical!

I think the film is on Wednesday evening coming, but I could be wrong...

I watched Oliver so much as a child after being taken to see the film (good old Ollie Reed) that I know the words to all the songs and annoy Rosie by warbling along to it

I love it too. Ron Moody is absolutely wonderful as Fagin. I'd love to be Nancy and sing 'As long as he needs me'.

Christmas isn't Christmas without The Wizard of Oz!

Its been digitally remastered or whatever the expression is so I might buy a copy for Him Indoors....

I heard about that this week. Apparently it was shown so much that the original tape was filthy. They have spent a very long time cleaning it and discovered bits that we never saw - like another screw on the TinMan's head. So the digital remastering is more real than the version we are all used to. I've got it on DVD already, but I might need to get another copy!

I love singing along too, but my fav for that has to be Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

As a child I was petrified by the child catcher though and had nightmares about him

His name was Robert Helpmann, and he was actually a fantastic ballet dancer! He danced with Dame Margot Fonteyn many times!

Because my parents tried to reason with me about my fear of him, by telling me all about him in the hope that I would see he was just an actor playing a part! His life is amazingly interesting actually, but I won't bore you with it! His performance in "The Red Shoes" is just the most amazing piece of dance I have ever seen.
